Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! Happy New Year’s Eve! One last card for me from 2025! I am sharing My Season’s Eatings Card using the Gingerbread Man Bundle by Stampin’ Up! Love how it’s a card within a card!
The Details of My Season’s Eatings Card
For my card, I knew that I wanted to create a pocket on the front in which to tuck my gingerbread man. So, I decided to create a fairly large pocket and have the corner turned down. Almost like he’s tucked into a bed!
The Christmas Tags & More Designer Series Paper was the perfect “bedding” for my gingerbread man with the wreath on one side and the holly on the other. I made this card for a swap, and the ornament DSP worked as well. The leftover strip was tucked into the corner to add interest when the gingerbread man was out of the pocket.

The Details of My Pocket
For the pocket, I measured 2” from the top-down on the right side of the Real Red card stock and marked it with a pencil. Then, I scored from the top left corner to the 2 “ mark creating a diagonal score. When I folded it back, the pencil mark was hidden.
Next, I measured 1-7/8” from the top-down on the left side of the DSP and marked it. This time, I cut from the top left to the mark to create a triangle. Then, I turned over the triangle so that the underside of the DSP was revealed. I used the Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the pocket along the sides and bottom. The pocket needed the strength since the gingerbread man would be pulled in and out. You could also use liquid glue.

The Gingerbread Man
The gingerbread man was embossed in white onto Pecan Pie and then die cut out. I love that you can change the different faces of the gingerbread man. So, I decided to go with him winking. I added a Real Red hat and Garden Green scarf. A couple of Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints were perfect for his buttons. I decided to decorate the inside by die cutting a Basic White gingerbread man, trimmed it down to fit on one side and stamped the sentiment in Real Red before adhering it inside.

To decorate the front, I added a die cut peppermint candy. The sentiment was stamped in Pecan Pie and die cut with the largest flag die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

As a finishing touch, I placed a scattering of the Real Red & White Adhesive-Backed Peppermints around my sentiment.
