Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Jingle Jolly Christmas Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Sally’s Christmas Friends. Even though Christmas in July is over, I did colour this image before it ended. So, I decided to create a Christmas card using her for August.
The Details of My Jingle Jolly Christmas Card
For my card, I wanted to try a non-traditional colour scheme and decided to use the Sugarplum Wishes by Paige Evans with its pinks and blue/greens, as well as traditional colours of reds and greens. So, I coloured Sally and her friends with my Copic markers to match the papers.
Once she was coloured, I used Glossy Accents on the ornaments; Star Dust Stickles on her hat/jacket trim, the birds’ hat trim and the snow; Clear Wink of Stella on the ribbons and bows; and Clear Star Gelly Pen on the polka dots on the present. Lots of sparkle since you can never have too much on a Christmas card! Lol!
Since my image was so detailed, I decided to keep my card fairly simple by adding a mini doily and some 3D ornament stickers. To “hang” my 3D ornaments, I added some Sliver Metallic Thread to both of them. Finally, for embellishments, I added a scattering of Red Rhinestones.
