Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Relaxing Waterside Card using the Relaxing Waterside Bundle from the Waterside Retreat Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! Great for a masculine card!
The Details of My Relaxing Waterside Card
I love the Relaxing Waterside Bundle and decided to use it for a swap that I participated a while back. Perfect Bundle for those masculine cards that we all need! Plus, this card is a great way to use up scraps!
First, I die cut the chair accents from the Old Olive mat before adhering it down to my card base. Next, I dry fitted my DSP onto my Pecan Pie mat before I adhered them down. This helped with the placement. Then, I adhered it onto my Old Olive mat.
For my focal point, I stamped and stamped off the bull rushes in Old Olive multiple times on my Basic White circle. Once that was done, I used my Blending Brush to lightly add Misty Moonlight ink to the circle creating a “sky”. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive off to the left of the flag from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Then, I used the placement of the flag to help position where I wanted the Misty Moonlight “Relax” sentiment and stamped it. All this was popped up on dimensionals.
Finally, I die cut the Adirondack chair from the Relaxing Waterside Dies using Pecan Pie Two-Tone Cardstock. This allowed me to use the two different sides to add visual interest. One for the seat and the lighter side for the chair back. I added some Old Olive accents to the chair to tie in my colour scheme.
For my embellishments, I added a Loose Anchor Trinket tied with some Linen Thread and a couple of silver Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems to balance the anchor.
