Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card

Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card - a Mother;s Day card with a little girl holding a banner of 4 birdhouses
Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! Mother’s Day is only a few weeks away! So, I am sharing my Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Avery with Birdhouse Banner

The Details of My Mother’s Day Birdhouse Card

I just love this sweet image with her birdhouse banner! Perfect for a Mother’s Day gift from a little girl! I coloured Avery with my Copic markers in soft purples and pinks to match my Spring Echo Park paper.

For my card, I decided to add a cute die cut birdhouse using the Echo Park papers to match my colouring and Avery’s birdhouse banner. And I couldn’t resist placing a momma bird inside the house by using the Bird Ballet DSP especially since this was a Mother’s Day card!

Next, I added a banner using the different papers that match my colour scheme. This overlayed the stamped Highland Heather sentiment that was die cut with the Scallop Contours Dies. All this was layered onto a larger scalloped Petal Pink piece to complete my focal point.

Finally, for embellishments, I added some Brass Butterflies to match the butterflies on the paper, as well as, added Star Dust Stickles to the hearts on Avery’s outfit.

Celebrate the Season Card

Celebrate the Season Card - Christmas card with a girl wearing a snowman sweater and holding a candy cane
Celebrate the Season Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Celebrate the Season Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the digital stamp called Emma in Christmas Sweater

Details of My Celebrate the Season Card

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card using the Pink Fresh scallop die. What is so nice about this die is that it cuts two scallop rectangles at once. I used both scallop rectangles with one in pink and one in red to match my colour scheme.

I love Mintay Papers, and the Merry Little Christmas paper is gorgeous! So, I decided to use it for my colour scheme of red and pink with white accents. I coloured Emma with my Copic markers to match my colour scheme. Don’t you just love her snowman sweater! In fact, I have coloured this stamp before. I will include a link at the end of this post to the other card that I made using her.

For the sentiment cluster, I used a silver snowflake to add some sparkle, a fussy cut candy cane from the Mintay paper and a die cut sentiment.

Next, I used Glossy Accents on the candy cane and Stardust Stickles on the trim of the hats and boots. The only thing left was to add a few red rhinestones for a bit more sparkle.

My Rebel Christmas Card

Baby Yoda Christmas Card
My Rebel Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Rebel Christmas Card using Rebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. It is never too early to start your Christmas cards and anyone who knows me, knows I love this little cutie patootie!

The Details of My Card

My Rebel Baby was already coloured from when I practiced for my presentation at the Wizards and Rebels Weekend for Paper Nest Dolls back in August (here is a link to that card). He has been sitting on my desk waiting to be put on a card and I thought a Christmas card would be fun!

For my card, I found the cutest digital Christmas paper with him on it in a buffalo check pattern! I wanted the image in the top left corner where he is in his pram peeking through on my card. So, I designed my card around that image…though there was a lot of cute images of him all over the paper! Lol!

I used several Christmas papers that matched my red and black theme. In fact, the stitched circle behind him was digital paper from the Weekend. I thought it would tie in the Star Wars genre.

Don’t you just love his Santa hat at a jaunty angle! It’s a retired Stampin’ Up! punch, but I’m sure there are lots of dies out there that would work just as well!

“A Merry Christmas I Wish You!” Of course, I had to have a Yoda-ish type sentiment which I typed on my computer and printed it out. Several handmade poinsettias and red rhinestones tie in the red Santa hat!
