Hello Spring Alternative Cards

Hello Spring Alternative Cards - 4 cards with floral theme
Hello Spring Alternative Cards

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Hello Spring Alternative Cards using the Hello Spring February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! I am so over winter and ready for Spring. So, these cards helped to put me in the mood for new growth and warmer weather. I had so much fun with this Kit that I made 4 cards including a slimline quad fold pocket card and a triple panel bridge card!

But, first, here are the three cards that the kit makes. Perfect for this time of year in their bright cheery colours!

3 Cards with Floral Theme
Hello Spring February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit

The Details of My Hello Spring Alternative Cards

My Slimline Quad Fold Card

For my first alternative card, I thought it would be fun to create a slimline card with pockets into which the seed cards would fit. I even used the Grow with Love Dies to cut down one of the envelopes that came in the kit to create an envelope for my Chives card.

A slim card with floral theme
My Slimline Quad Fold Card

For the front, I used the leftover pieces from two envelopes (see Card 4 for second leftover piece) to create some interest behind my Bronze Foil Piece. I thought a bouquet of herbs sprouting from the sentiment would be fun! I used a 1 ½” circle punch to punch out a Basic Beige circle from the Bronze Foil Piece and matted it behind the sentiment. Since the herbs were in front of it, you couldn’t see the missing part. Finally, I added a bee from the Spring Is in the Air Dies.

A slim card with floral theme laid flat
My Slimline Quad Fold Card Laid Flat

For the inside, I used two card bases to line my pockets. More bees and honeycomb from the Spring Is in the Air Dies decorated the inside along with a sentiment.

The finishing touch was the linen wrapped three times around the card to hold it closed and tied in a bow.

Measurements:

  • Basic White Card Base:
    • 8” x 12” – scored at 3”, 6”, 9” along 12” side and 5 ½” along 8” side
    • Scraps for bees and honeycomb
  • Blue Card Base (3 pieces):
    • 2-7/8” x 3 ½”
  • Green Card Base (3 pieces):
    • 2-3/8” x 2-7/8”
  • Envelope Leftovers (2 pieces):
    • 5” x 2-3/8”
  • Other Pieces from Kit:
    • Herb Precut Paper Pieces
    • Herb Cards
    • Bronze Foil Piece
    • Sentiment Pieces
    • Linen Thread
    • Seed Packet Envelope

My Triple Panel Card

For my second alternative card using the Hello February 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made a triple panel card. I love it when the card is closed, and the insides are hidden creating a nice surprise as the recipient opens the card!

Another floral card
My Triple Panel Card

So, I cut the green card base at 1” on either side to create the struts to which the bridge will be adhered. The larger Bronze Foil Piece from the kit fitted the bridge perfectly! Then, using the scraps from the precut paper pieces, I stamped and die cut the flower heads and another bee from the Spring Is in the Air Dies.

For the middle panel, I punched a 1 ½” circle from another Bronze Foil Piece and layered it behind my sentiment and the mint precut paper piece.

For the final panel, I stamped the textured stamped multiple time in Petunia Pop on Petunia Pop card stock for a tone-on-tone look. Then, I layered the smaller Bronze Foil Piece with the basil precut paper piece leaving room for a message.

Measurements:

  • Green Card Base:
    • Cut at 1” and 4 ½”
  • Basic White:
    • Scraps for Bees and Flower Heads
  • Petunia Pop:
    • 4” x 5 ¼”
  • Other Pieces from Kit:
    • Chives Card
    • Herb Precut Paper Pieces on Inside
    • Bronze Foil Pieces
    • Green Diagonal Strip Piece
    • Sentiment Pieces

My Happy Easter Card

For my next alternative card, I decided to use the green card base scrap left over from another card. This created a nice band on the left side.

An Easter card with floral theme
My Happy Easter Card

For my focal point, I layered several elements from the Kit. Again, I used my 1 ½” punch to punch a circle from the Bronze Foil Piece making sure to have it on the left side and hidden by the Chives card.

Next, I stamped and die cut the flower heads and another bee from the Spring Is in the Air Dies. I just love these dies, especially that bee!

Measurements:

  • Green Card base:
    • 2 ½” x 4 ¼”
  • Basic White:
    • Scraps for Bees and Flower Heads
  • Other Pieces from Kit:
    • Blue Card Base
    • Chives Card
    • Bronze Foil Piece
    • Sentiment Pieces
    • Linen Thread

My Happy Easter Pocket Card

For my last alternative card, I decided it would be fun to die cut another mini envelope from the seed packet envelopes (use the scraps from this one for the Slimline Quad Fold Card) and have the herbs sprouting from it.

Another Easter card
My Happy Easter Pocket Card

So, I used the used the Grow with Love Dies to create my envelope. The Beige fastener was die cut from leftover scraps of the envelope.

I stamped the sentiment and added a Bubble Bath mat to it. To match the mat, I die cut another butterfly using the Spring Is in the Air Dies, but this time in Bubble Bath.

I decided to only stamp and die cut one flower hear to give the image dimension to it.

Measurements:

  • Basic White:
    • Scraps for Flower Head
  • Bubble Bath:
    • 1 ½” Circle
    • Scraps for Bee
  • Other Pieces from Kit:
    • Beige Card Base
    • Chives Card
    • Herb Precut Paper Pieces
    • Sentiment Piece
    • Seed Packet Envelope

My Inconceivable Birthday Card

My Inconceivable Birthday Card - a birthday card with different fantasy scenes and characters
My Inconceivable Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here to share My Inconceivable Birthday Card using the Twoo Luv Stamp Set by Kindred Stamps. A good friend’s birthday was recent, and he loves a certain movie and book. So, I couldn’t resist creating this card for him with scenes from the movie!

The Details of My Inconceivable Birthday Card

For my card, I thought it would be fun to create a slimline card with the Film Strip Die by Whimsy Stamps. Each windows had a scene from the movie including the castle for The Giant since he is part of the Brute Squad, the Cliffs of Insanity for the big sword fight with the Fencer and the escape of the two sweethearts in the Fire Swamp.

But first, I coloured all the characters with my Copic markers and cut them out with my Brother Scan n’ Cut.

Once that was done, I pulled out my Whimsy Slimline papers to find the perfect backdrops for my scenes. I had to cut the papers down to fit the windows. So, I ended up using two different papers from two different paper packs. The top two windows were from the Enchanted Kingdom Slimline Paper Pack and the last window was from the Enchanted Forest Slimline Paper Pack.

Next, I decorated the inside of my card with another die cut film strip. For this one I did some stamping using the stamp set in the windows. The “Hello my name is”, I placed at the top so that I can add my friend’s name. Then, I added the final character, the Sicilian whose favourite word was “inconceivable” beneath the sentiment.

Peace & Joy Christmas Card

Peace & Joy Christmas Card - a Christmas card with a girl and a bird on her hat.
Peace & Joy Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Peace & Joy Christmas Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Molly Cutie from the Molly Winter Bundle. This Bundle includes 4 digital stamps:

  • Molly’s Winter Friends
  • Molly’s Joy
  • Molly Cutie
  • Molly Cutie Without Birdie

The Details of My Peace & Joy Christmas Card

I checked and this was my fourth time colouring different variations of this stamp! Lol! It is obviously one of my favourites of Conie Fong! The other three were before I was on Conie’s Design Team, and I will include them at the end of this post.

For my card, I had this gorgeous Merry Little Christmas Paper Collection by Paper Rose. So, I decided to use the piece that had the cardinal on it since I coloured the birdie as a cardinal this time. I also used the paper for the sentiment banner with the wood and Christmas word tickets.

The sentiment was foil embossed in gold with my laminator and gold foil. This is something that I have discovered recently and plan to do more often! So fun! I backed the foiled sentiment with a stitched circle from the red paper in the Collection. Tip: I die cut it out of the centre of the red mat that is behind my floral piece. Since you do not see it, it saved on paper.

The poinsettias were hand punched and assembled with gold glitter dots to mirror the poinsettia in the paper.

I had some punched glittery snowflakes on my desk from another card. So, I added them for interest.

Finally, for sparkle, I added some red rhinestones around her, as well as Star Dust Stickles to Molly’s and the bird’s pompoms. Clear Star gelly roll was added to the flowers on her dress with white gelly roll added to the polka dots on her scarf and gold gelly roll to her buttons. Glossy Accents was added to the berries that the birdie is carrying. You can never have too much sparkle on a Christmas card! Lol!

Warm Winter Wishes Card

Warm Winter Wishes Card - A Christmas card with a girl holding a tree and squirrel
Warm Winter Wishes Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Warm Winter Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Sally and Little Squirrel.

The Details of My Warm Winter Wishes Card

This stamp was one of the first stamps by Conie Fong Art & Design that I bought! I just loved Sally with her little friend, and I knew that I wanted to colour her with some of my favourite Copic marker combos!

I had this gorgeous Ciao Bella Paper that I thought would be a perfect background for her! So, I decided to make a slimline card that would show as much of the wintery scene as possible including the house.

To tie in the pinks, I went with some Rose Red card stock on which I layered vellum with silver foiled snowflakes to tie in the wintery feeling of my card.

For my sentiment cluster, I layered several flags with the different papers that I used on my card. A wooden snowflake and some linen thread add to the rustic feel of my wintery scene.

Finally, for sparkle, I added some Balmy Blue punched snowflakes to my scene, as well as Star Dust Stickles to Sally’s hat’s pompom and the snow that she is standing on. Clear Wink of Stella was used on the flower on her hat and Clear Star to the polka dots on her scarf.

Aren’t these just the cutest trick-or-treaters! I had a lot of fun colouring them with my Copic markers in spooky Halloween colours to match my paper!

For my card, I thought it would be fun to use my slimline ticket die since they are going to a Halloween carnival! Even the paper suits the Halloween carnival theme! I especially like the “admit one” paper behind the mummy ready to be torn off as he enters! Lol! The other two are partying with all their friend!

For the black arrow banner, I mounted an “Oct. 31” tag from the Doodlebug paper and added an iridescent ribbon to it. The only other embellishment, I added were a few Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots.

Finally, to add some sparkle, I used Gold Star Gelly Roll Pen on the witch’s shoe buckles and Clear Wink of Stella to the ribbon on her hat and bow.

My Trick or Treat Card

My Trick or Treat Card - A Halloween Card with a little girl trick or treating
My Trick or Treat Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Trick or Treat Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Penelope Pumpkin from the Wynona Witch, Candy Sally, Penelope Pumpkin Bundle.

This purchase includes 5 Images:

  • Wynona Witch V1 – With Pumpkin Basket
  • Candy Sally Left
  • Candy Sally Right
  • Penelope Pumpkin V1-With Polka Dot Bag
  • Candy Sally with Trixie Right

The Details of My Trick or Treat Card

I just love Penelope in her little pumpkin costume going trick or treating with her sweet friend! I decided to colour her in traditional Halloween colours with my Copic markers to match the Doodlebug papers.

For my scene, I went with a spooky house and graveyard in front of it. Of course, she must go through the graveyard to visit the house and, you must have an eerie full moon on Halloween night! Lol! To make my moon even more eerie, I brushed Crushed Curry Ink along the edges. One thing that is cool, is that my moon glows in the dark! Finally, I added a cute 3D bat to my scene.

Next, I added the Trick or Treat paper behind my scene instead of a traditional night sky as an homage to her activity. In addition, I added the striped paper in matching colours behind the words Trick or Treat at the bottom of my card.

Finally, to add some sparkle, I used Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on her lollipops and Clear Wink of Stella to her bag. For the polka dots on her bag, I used a White Gelly Roll Pen.

Game On Birthday Card

Game On Birthday Card - a birthday card with the Mario Brothers on it
Game On Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Game On Birthday Card using the Plumber Brothers and Company by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. This Set comes with 14 digital stamps, and I used 8 of them on my card.

The Details of My Game On Birthday Card

Everyone loves the classic Mario Brothers video game! For my card, I wanted to create their world using the different elements that they must encounter. So, I coloured my stamps with my Copic markers in bright primary colours.

My Colouring of the different stamps
My Colouring

Next, I decided to use the Enchanted Kingdom Slimline Designer Paper by Whimsy. The primary colours and scene were perfect for my Mario world!

I die cut this slimline paper with the Slimline Windows Dies by Whimsy to create the different levels in which I could insert my elements. I popped up the frame using adhesive strips to limit the sagging especially along the top and bottom edges. Next, I adhered with liquid glue the leftover die cut scene squares to the card base to create dimension. Tip: liquid glue gives you time to position the squares and allow wiggle room to get them just right.

Left Side of Card

Once the scene was in place, I added my elements to the different squares to create my Mario world.

Right Side of Card

The sentiment was stamped in black and die cut out with a stitched rectangle. I added a star to one side to help with the balance.

The finishing touch was to add Mario and Luigi to the card. Voilà! Game On! My Mario world was complete!

Gnome for Christmas Card

Gnome for Christmas Card - A Christmas Card with a gnome in front of a house in the mountains
Gnome for Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Gnome for Christmas Card as my Design Team Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the cute Christmas Tree Gnome and Sentiment. This bundle comes with 4 images:

  • Image 1-2: Christmas Tree Gnome PNG/JPG format
  • Image 3-4: Sentiment Have A Very Merry Gnome Christmas PNG/JPG format

Details of My Gnome for Christmas Card

I had so much fun colouring this sweet gnome with my Copic markers that I coloured him twice in different shades of green. So, I have created two different cards showing the possibilities and will link my other mini slimline card at the end of this post.

Christmas Tree Gnome
Christmas Tree Gnome

For this card, I decided to create another slimline card for this cutie. I love the scenes in the Home for the Holidays paper by Stamperia and wanted to use as much of the scene as possible, especially the house and deer! So, I created a full slimline card this time.

All that the scene needed was some pine branches to frame my sentiment and a scattering of glimmer snowflakes. I decided to frame the whole scene with the Essential Cutting Slimline Dies by Studio Light with a bottom layer in Shaded Spruce to hide the ends of the pine branches and then a Real Red layer popped up on top.

The finishing touch was a scattering of wooden stars around the sentiment and Star Dust Stickles added to the star and pompoms on his hat.

Merry Gnome Christmas Card - a Christmas card with a gnome wearing a tree hat.
Merry Gnome Christmas Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Merry Gnome Christmas Card as my Design Team Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the cute Christmas Tree Gnome and Sentiment. This bundle comes with 4 images:

  • Image 1-2: Christmas Tree Gnome PNG/JPG format
  • Image 3-4: Sentiment Have A Very Merry Gnome Christmas PNG/JPG format

Details of My Merry Gnome Christmas Card

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card for this cutie! I had so much fun colouring this sweet gnome with my Copic markers that I coloured him twice in different shades of green. Stay tune for a card with my second colouring later.

Christmas Tree Gnome
Christmas Tree Gnome

I loved the Winter Gnomes Decorative Papers by The Paper Boutique! It had all these cute gnomes with Christmas presents on it. Perfect for my Christmas theme! So, I used my Bracket & Tags Dies to die cut my papers and layered them on the card base.

Once that was done, I added the die cut flag sentiment with another flag in Cherry Cobbler layered beneath. The wooden tree was from my stash and a perfect accent for the sentiment. The only other die cut was pine needles behind my gnome to make him stand out a bit from the background.

The finishing touches were a scattering of red rhinestones and some ribbon tied through the tag’s hole.

My Retirement Wishes Card

My Retirement Wishes Card - A retirement card with a trailer and a sunrise in the background
My Retirement Wishes Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Retirement Wishes Card using the Paradise Palms Stamp Set and the Tree Lot Dies by Stampin’ Up! with a beautiful Distressed Oxide Inks sunrise. I had a lot of fun creating this card for a friend who is retiring. She is planning to go touring for the summer with her trailer. So, I decided to create a fun pink (she is a pink kind of person) trailer on her card.

The Details of My Card

For my card, I decided to go with a mini slimline design so that I could really show off a beautiful sunrise with the Distress Oxide inks. Especially since this is all about driving off into the sunset to enjoy retirement!

Using my Blending Brushes, I blended the sky colours together in the order of Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Broken China and Faded Jeans on a piece of Basic White card stock. Once that was done, I created a Crumb Cake sand hill with one of the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border Dies. I used this for placement as I stamped my palm trees and seagulls in Early Espresso onto my sky piece. Next, I adhered the sand hill down and die cut everything at the same time with a mini slimline stitched die.

Close Up of Sunset

The sentiment was stamped in Black Onyx Versafine Ink and die cut with one of the flags from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Since I wanted this to hang over the edge of the sky piece and match up with my Basic White mat, I used my Paper Snips to cut off the edge.

Now, it was time to build my trailer with all the different dies. I loved this cute trailer once it was built! I also couldn’t resist adding some Pretty in Pink glimmer flags to match the trailer since we were celebrating!

Finally, the finishing touch was a couple of Pretty in Pink Shimmer Gems placed around my sentiment.

My Shellabrate Birthday Card

My Shellabrate Birthday Card - a birthday card with a mermaid holding a seahorse on it
My Shellabrate Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! One final mermaid card for MerMay from me! I am sharing My Shellabrate Birthday Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Mermaid Ellie with Seahorse

The Details of My Shellabrate Birthday Card

For my card, I decided to use the Mermaid Tales Collection Kit by Echo Park since it was perfect for my Mermaid theme! The Kit came with paper and stickers. So, I used the “Sparkle & Shine” sticker as well as the paper on my card. The Shellabrate flag was from the Mermaid Dreams Frames & Tags also by Echo Park.

Once I picked my papers, I used the colours from it to colour Ellie with my Copic markers. I used Clear Wink of Stella on her tail and on the fins of the seahorse to add some sparkle just like the sticker said!

Next, I added an angel fish die cut to match the fish in the paper, as well as a shell and seaweed beside the sticker to help ground her.

Finally, for embellishments, I added three dew drops that look like air bubbles to mirror the air bubble paper. I also added a black rhinestone for the fish’s eye.

My Welcome MerMay Card

My Welcome MerMay Card - a mermaid in an underwater scene
My Welcome MerMay Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Welcome MerMay Card using the new release Little Mermaid by Conie Fong Art & Design as my Design Team Inspiration Card. Every May is MerMay in the card making industry and Conie Fong didn’t disappoint with this new release! Welcome to MerMay!

The Details of My Welcome MerMay Card

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card with an underwater scene for this cutie. The Mermaid Tales paper had a scene that was perfect for my background! Behind that I added paper with blue/green mermaid scales with golden accents and gold foil borders.

But first, I coloured my mermaid with my Copic markers in watery blue/green colours to match my scene. I had a lot of fun colouring the tail so that it shimmers between the blues to the greens! To add more shimmer, I used Clear Wink of Stella on her tail and Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on her starfish in her hair.

Next, I die cut the sandy bottom with the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border and used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to give it some texture. Once that was done, I brushed Crumb Cake ink along the edges for even more texture.

To create a backdrop for her, I die cut a Basic White shell on which I brushed Crumb Cake to bring out the detail. Behind that, I added a gold fold die cut coral to tie in my golden accents.

The sentiment flag was from the Mermaid Dreams Frames & Tags and was perfect for my card! I layered beneath it another die cut flag with gold shells on it. Even more gold accents! Lol! All these golden accents really added a beautiful sparkle to the card!

The finishing touch was a scattering of dew drops which I thought looked like air bubbles.

My Lavender Birthday Card

My Lavender Birthday Card - a birthday card with a Provençal theme of lavender fields scene
My Lavender Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Lavender Birthday Card using the Hills of Tuscany Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! I had so much fun creating the lavender fields in Provence for another card that I also made this mini slimline tri-fold window card! A link to the other card is included at the end of this post.

The Details of My Lavender Birthday Card

For my mini slimline card, I decided I wanted to create a three-panel card with the Provence scene peeking through the window on the front of my card.

Close Up of Scene
Close Up of Scene

First, I stamped the fields in Highland Heather followed by Gorgeous Grape to add interest to make it look like lavender. Next, I stamped Shaded Spruce trees on the opposite side of the springs of lavender on the front of the card to add balance. For the house, I used Crumb Cake for the walls and Copper Clay for the roof. I stamped the sky in Balmy Blue.

Inside of card with the scene
Second Panel of Card

Once the stamping was done, I die cut the stamped piece out with the largest stitched rectangle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I also used the same die for the front of the card’s window. Tip: adhere down the piece of DSP to the front before die cutting to get placement. Run the die through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine multiple times to cut both DSP and card stock.

Next, I stamped butterflies in Gorgeous Grape on the inside panel to add some interest to that panel.

Third Panel of Card
Third Panel of Card

To complete my Provencal theme, I die cut a bouquet of lavender with Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape and Shaded Spruce which was tied with Linen Thread and placed beneath the sentiment on the front. The sentiment from the Throughout the Year Stamp Set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape and die cut out using a Perennial Postage Die.

The finishing touch was a scattering of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to match my colour scheme.

My Ruby Bookmark Card

My Ruby Bookmark Card - a card with a pocket holding a bookmark with a dog on it
My Ruby Bookmark Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Ruby Bookmark Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Dog with Bone and Candy Cane Bundle. This Bundle is so versatile! I used the Candy Cane Dog for a Christmas tag and now I’m using Dog with Bone for a bookmark! I will include a photo of my Christmas tag at the end of this post.

This Bundle includes 4 images:

  • Title 1 and 2: Candy Cane Dog (PNG/JPG Format)
  • Title 3 and 4: Dog with Bone (PNG/JPG Format)

The Details of My Ruby Bookmark Card

I made this bookmark card for a friend’s birthday who has a dog called Ruby. So, I coloured this cutie with my Copic markers to look like her dog.

Bookmark with Dog holding a Bone
My Ruby Bookmark

I thought it would be fun to give my friend a bookmark that she could use, but still wanted to create a card. So, I created a mini slimline card with a pocket on the front in which to slip the bookmark. I love how the puppy is peeking out of the pocket! Once I coloured this cutie, I had a lot of fun decorating my card and bookmark.

Bookmark in Pocket

For my card, I used the Slimline Tag dies from Marianne Design to create a pocket on the front. I decorated it with the puppy paws and hearts DSP. The sentiment was printed on my computer, punched out and placed with a doily behind it. I get a hoot out of the “Hot dog! It’s your birthday” from the Puppy Love paper! So, I placed it over the birthday part of the circular sentiment.

Bookmark Pulled Out of pocket
Bookmark Pulled Out

For my bookmark, I used the smaller Slimline Tags dies with the words and hearts from the Puppy Love paper. The doily gave a perfect backdrop to focus on my puppy! The puppy paws adhesive Gems added some fun bling. The tassel was from Christmas, but I thought that pop of colour was perfect for my colour scheme. So, I remove the Christmas charm and add some dog appropriate charms instead and tied it to my bookmark with some twine from my stash.

My Birthday Celebration Card

My Birthday Celebration Card - Birthday card celebrating a winter birthday with a girl
My Birthday Celebration Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Birthday Celebration Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Winter Wendy. It was my birthday a while back and I decided to colour this cutie and make a card to celebrate it!

The Details of My Birthday Celebration Card

Since I used this stamp for my birthday card, I decided to colour Wendy to look like me when I had long hair. So, I pulled out my Copic markers and gave her brown hair and eyes. I picked the colours for her clothes from my paper choice. The pink was a bit tricky to colour, but I discovered by adding E04 to the RVs, it allowed the shadows of the pinks to match my paper.

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline to match the shape of the large snowflake die. I thought it would be fun having her pop out of this die cut snowflake opening with its matching snowy paper. I added a few die cut Pool Party snowflakes to bring out the blue/green in my colouring.

The sentiment “Celebrating You Today” summed up my birthday theme perfectly! It was stamped in black and die cut with the matching flag die.

To add sparkle, I coloured rhinestones with my Copic markers to match my colour choice. I also used Star Dust Stickles on the Pool Party snowflakes and on her pompom.
