Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing A Cup of Thanks Card using the Cup of Tea Bundle by Stampin’ Up! I loved the idea of stacking the teacups in different colours!
Details of My Card
For my card, I wanted to highlight the new 2022-24 In Colors and what better way than with the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper that incorporates all the new colors in its pretty designs! I also used the In Color 2022–2024 Designer Series Paper for two of my teacups. Tip: Since the DSP is double-sided, I turned the middle teacup to face the opposite way. For the bottom teacup, I love the combination of Parakeet Party and Starry Sky together. So, I used the stackable die cuts to create my teacup. To highlight my teacups, I used a stitched scallop rectangle in Basic White.
I’m so happy that Stampin’ Up! has released new stitched circle/square dies and I couldn’t rest using one of the circles for my Starry Sky sentiment! Don’t you just love the Fun Flowers Resin Shapes and they come in Parakeet Party as one of the colours!
I thought placing the Tea Boutique 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper on an angle behind the focal point was a fun idea. The Stitched Greenery Die with its tone-on-tone created a subtle background that doesn’t distract from the focal point, but still adds interest.
I added a stamped die cut lemon wedge and a Sweet Sorbet Glimmer heart to continue my caring thank you theme.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I was so excited to present My Welcome Spring! Card at the Paper Nest Dolls Spring Coloring Retreat (Online) recently using Lulu with Daffodil!
The Details of My Card
For my card, I thought a fun fold card would be something different than a regular card. So, I created a side easel card base! I love how it folds up to display part of the card front!
We had a lot of fun colouring Lulu with our Copic markers at the Retreat. The attendees learned how to add texture to the daffodil to make it pop!
The beautiful papers from the Paper Boutique were perfect for the theme since they had daffodil and tulips on them!
I couldn’t resist using the Daffodil Dies from Stampin’ Up! in the background to set off Lulu!
Side View of Card
If you haven’t been to a Paper Nest Dolls Retreat, you are missing out! You learn so much from other designers (even I learn things!) and there is always fun and games going on, not to mention the swag bags!
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Yabba Dabba Doo Time Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the new digital Stone Age Family Set. This bundle comes with eight stamps in either digital or rubber stamps.
The Details of My Card
For my card, I wanted to fit the whole family onto one card. So, I decided to create a Tri-Fold card where a continual scene unfolds on the front of the card, but when folded down, it becomes an A2 card.
Tri-Fold Card
I created a sidewalk for my characters to stand on by using a stencil, ink, and a blending brush. Once that was done, I used one of the Large Slimline Dies to create my straight lines and then cut the pieces down accordingly. Some hills and grass in different greens gave interest behind the characters. A couple of palm trees added to my scene.
My Card Laid Flat Showing Continual Scene
Measurements
Card Base: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score at 4 ¼”
Tri-Fold: 6” x 12” piece of card stock and score at 4” and 8”. Then mark 1” on short side at top and 1” on bottom corner opposite side and line up cutting on diagonal.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing A Groovy Road Trip Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Decade Collection Flower Power Ellie. There are ten dolls in the Decade Collection that come in both rubber and digital stamps. You can find all the digital versions here.
Decade Doll Collection by Paper Nest Dolls
The Details of My Card
For my card, I coloured Ellie with my Copic markers to match my Seventies paper and her retro bus! This paper was perfect for my card with the musical revolution icons since Ellie has her dancing boots on and is off to Woodstock!
Of course, if Ellie is having a road trip, she needs a retro bus. This Retro Bus Kit comes with dies to build a mini booklet in the shape of a retro bus, but I decided to use it for my card. So, I just trimmed the three ring holes off the back piece. I had a ton of fun decorating my bus with the matching paper, flowers, peace symbol, windshield wipers, Road Trip die and so on. I even used a piece of a window sheet for the windows. For the metal parts, I brushed on some iron wax to give them a metal look.
The finishing touches were some wooden musical notes to match my theme and a couple of rhinestone coloured to match my card.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Happy Mother’s Day Card using the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle by Stampin’ Up!
The Details of My Card
For my card, I thought the Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper and the Flowering Rain Boots Bundle would be a perfect match! And I couldn’t resist using the tulip border die that comes in the Flowering Tulips Bundle!
I pulled my colour scheme of Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia and Evening Evergreen from the DSP. I love that the coordinating dies cut out the stamped pieces! By adding a piece of vellum under the boots, a focal point was created, but still allowed the die cut tulip border to show through. The sentiment was heat embossed with white on Highland Heather and then die cut with one of the All Dressed Up Dies. A scattering of the sweet Brass Butterflies finished the card off nicely.

The Details of My Card
For my card, I thought Bella With Rose would make a perfect Mother’s Day Card! She is such a cutie and Mother’s Day is only a few weeks away!
I decided to go with soft pastel colours to match the beautiful Spring papers from The Paper Boutique. The Stitched with Love Paper Pad matched this colour scheme well and it had purple roses that I used for inspiration to colour my rose.
To me nothing says Mother’s Day like a beautiful doily and this one had roses on it. Perfect for my rose theme and to center my focal point!
I have been wanting to use the beautiful rose die from Paper Roses for a while and thought this was ideal for my card!
A scattering of pink pearls and butterflies to match my paper completed my card.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Easter Blessings Card using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle by Stampin’ Up! This bundle is perfect for those last-minute Easter cards that you need to make!
Details of My Card
I love our yellow and white daffodils that sprout up each year in our garden! So, I decided to go with this colour scheme for my card!
Daffodils in Our Garden
For my card, I wanted to create a soft look by using Soft Suede Ink to stamp my flowers. To go with this soft look, I used my Blender pens to pick up Old Olive and Bumblebee inks to colour my flowers. Guess what I used for my white petals? I used the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker! Perfect way to add that white!
Colouring of Daffodils with Blender Pen
I stamped the dots in Crumb Cake around my flowers and added the border stamp in Old Olive ink at the base of my card. I carefully positioned the leaves from the Greenery Embossing Folder so that you could see the embossed leaves on either side of the centre piece. The Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper was the perfect accompaniment to my colouring as well as the gingham ribbon bringing out the Bumblebee colour. The sentiment used the Tailor Made Tags Dies. All this card needed was a Bumblebee Trinket flitting around the flowers!
Supplies:

The Details of My Card
For my card, I had so much fun colouring up this cutie with my Copic markers and using Easter colours on his egg.
The paper was the perfect choice since it had Easter eggs on one and Easter bunnies on the other. Love Doodlebug for their bright colours! The ribbon also has an Easter theme with cute bunnies on it.
I have had these two Easter eggs die cuts forever and thought this would be a perfect time to use them by layering them on the card.
The sentiment is from Easter Bunny Gnome and Sentiment Bundle. I just snipped them apart to fit my space. A couple of die cut flowers highlight the sentiment.
I coloured my pearls and rhinestone in matching colours. A row of rhinestones on the top die cut egg add some dimension and sparkle. Clear Wink of Stella on his egg and flower add a little more sparkle.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Beyond the Horizon Alternative Cards using the March 2022 Beyond the Horizon Paper Pumpkin. I loved this kit! It was perfect for all those masculine cards that you need to make. And I loved that it coordinated with the New Horizons Suite Collection!
I loved this Kit so much, that I created several alternative cards! I have gone into detail for my Mini Slimline Tri-Fold Window. At the end of this post, I have photos of all the other alternative cards with brief descriptions.
Details of My Mini Slimline Tri-Fold Window Card
For my first card, I decided to create a mini slimline Tri-Fold Window Card by combining the Paper Pumpkin Kit and the New Horizons Suite Collection. I thought it would be neat to see the beautiful water coloured scene peeking out of the windows between the mountain die cuts that came with the kit!
How to Cut the Card Base
The Misty Moonlight card base is 6” x 10.5” and scored at 3.5” and 7” along the long side to create 3 panels. I used the 2 largest retired Stitched Squares to create my windows for the scene. The largest Square on the outside panel and the next size down on the inside panel.
The Front Panel
Front of Tri-Fold Card
I cut apart 2 envelopes to use for my background pieces in Old Olive and Bumblebee. The Old Olive piece was on the front panel and the Bumblebee was on the right inside panel.
Tip: since the envelopes are thinner than card stock, you can glue them down and cut both the panel and the envelope at the same time.
The envelopes are printed on both sides. So, I was able to flip over leftover pieces where I needed another design such as the cross hatching on the front panel and the Misty Moonlight dotted piece.
I used a small piece of the In Good Taste DSP for my fence to give it a wooden look. Don’t you just love the Pebbles Enamel Shapes! I couldn’t resist using them on three of my panels!
Close Up of Scene Through The Windows
The Right Inside Panel
I thought that the mountain dies that came in the Kit would be perfect to layer on the bottom of the Bumblebee window. Almost like you are looking through mountains at the scene.
Right Inside Panel
For this panel, I stamped the sentiment in Misty Moonlight onto a die cut Crumb Cake wood piece. Then I and layered it in front of a scrap of the dotted Misty Moonlight envelope.
Mountain Die Cuts with Scene
The Inside Panels
For the inside panels, I used leftover pieces of the envelopes under the windows and layered the leftover stitched squares on top.
For the left panel, I created a scene using the die cut trees from the Collection and the circle from the kit. Don’t you think the circle looks like a sun! I even used the trimmed top of the water-coloured piece for my sky behind the stitched square. I don’t throw anything out just in case I can use it.
Inside With All Panels Open
For the inside panel on the right, I used the sentiment from the floral stamp set that was the gift in the kit. I added some grasses and those pebbles again.
For the center piece, I added a Basic White mat to frame the water-coloured piece allowing an area to write.
Supplies:
Stamps/Bundles/Dies: New Horizons Suite Collection (157782)
Paper: Misty Moonlight (153081), Basic White (159276), Old Olive (100702), In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (152494), New Horizons 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper (157768)
Accessories: 1/8″ Cotton Ribbon Combo Pack Paper (158140), Pebbles Enamel Shapes (158141), Retired Stitched Rectangles, Bone Folder (102300), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Seal (152813), Mini Glue Dots (103683)
My Other Alternative Cards
Second Alternative Card
Second Alternative Card
This one of my alternative cards using the March Paper Pumpkin that I made for my Father-in-law’s birthday! It is based on the mini slimline design that they show on the back of the instruction sheet, but, of course, with a few tweaks from me.
I decided to use In Good Taste DSP for my fence to give it a wood texture. Since the card was for my FIL, I decided to use Old Olive card stock for the Time to Celebrate sentiment with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. A simple knot suited my FIL’s taste more than a bow. I used my Stampin’ Blends in Dark Old Olive and Dark Misty Moonlight to colour some rhinestones to match the New Horizons DSP.
Third Alternative Card
Third Alternative Card
I based this alternative on a mini slimline card, but I used the remainder of the New Horizon Designer Series Paper from the previous card. Since the DSP didn’t fill the background, I added a leftover piece of envelope behind the white embossed piece. I decided to use the Shaded Spruce die cut mountains that matched the jagged piece from the kit to create a base for my sentiment. For embellishments, I used the ribbon and the rhinestones from the Kit.
Fourth Alternative Card
Fourth Alternative Card
For this alternative, I decide to make a full A2 card using Misty Moonlight for the card base. I framed the scene with a Basic White frame, but if you were carefully with your trimming, you could use the card front with no frame. Then I add the wooden fence with die cut grass in front to balance the die cut mountains, circle and sentiment.
Fifth Alternative Card
Fifth Alternative Card
For my last alternative, I decided to cut apart one of the card fronts and added them to an Old Olive card base. I layered the sentiment on some leftover pieces from the Kit. I then added Misty Moonlight ribbon and rhinestones for my embellishments.

For my card, I wanted to show my support for the Ukraine people. My heart bleeds for them and anyone who are affected by this war! So, I decided to create a sunflower card since it is their national flower. I also decided to use Bumblebee and Pacific Point as my card stock choices to reflect the colours of the Ukrainian flag.
To highlight the sunflowers, I stamped in Pacific Point the sky stamp from the Oceanfront Stamp Set a couple of times on the Basic White card stock. I love how it peeks out from the top die cut sunflower! Once that was done, I layered my pieces. The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder and punched out with the Lovely Labels Pick a Punch. A scattering of epoxy shapes represents the “tears of the people” in my mind.
I have created several cards with this bundle in the past. I will include links to the cards at the bottom of this post. There is even a quick video on YouTube explaining the advanced colouring technique I used on the sunflower.
Colouring Video of Sunflower
Supplies:
Stamps/Bundles/Dies: Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle (154065), Oceanfront Stamp Set (157862), Lovely You Stamp Set (152525)
Inks: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad (132708), VersaMark Ink (102283), Pacific Point Classic Stampin’ Pad (147098)
Paper: Pacific Point (111350), Bumblebee (153077), Basic White (159276), Old Olive (100702)
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Tears for Ukraine Card using theClarence with Sunflower for Ukraine illustrated by Dustin Pike for The Rabbit Hole Designs. The people at TRHD were kind enough to make this stamp free so that we can all show our support for the Ukraine.
This stamp really sums up how I feel about all the unrest going on with Russia and the Ukraine! My heart bleeds for the Ukraine! So, I wanted to show my support in the best what I can…through my crafting!
The Details of My Card
For my card, I decided to make the stamp the focal point with minimal embellishments and paper since this card is all about the message!
I coloured Clarence and his sunflower with my Copic markers and added a few accents with my White Gelly Roll Pen on the seeds of the sunflower.
I decided to use Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point as my card stock choices to reflect the colours of the Ukrainian flag. A couple of layered paper flags under the “heartfelt” sentiment help to set it off. I wanted it to be highlighted since this is what my card is all about. To match my colour choices, I coloured some clear rhinestones with my Copic markers. Finally, I added some clear epoxy stickers on certain parts of the flower to represent the tears of the people.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Winter Wonderland Mixed Media Piece using Eskimo Ellie by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Project. We are still in the depths of winter here is Canada. So, I thought I would make something pretty to brighten the last of the winter days.
The Details of My Project
I decided to create a Mixed Media piece. Something that I haven’t done before but have always wanted to create. So, I pulled out my 8” x 10” Gel Printing Plate, my Distress Paints and brayer and went to town. Once I had paint laid down and before it dried, I stamped several different stamps to add interest to my background piece. I placed my mixed media paper over the gel plate and pulled several prints from it.
My Prints from Gel Press
Once everything was dried, I added some shimmery embossing paste using a stencil. I then splattered some paint all over with my splatter brush.
Splattering Paint in my Splatter Box
At this point, I painted the sides of the wood frame with Seedless Preserves to bring out that colour from the print.
Painted Frame with Seedless Preserves
I trimmed down my print, framed it with a matching blue card stock and glued it to my dried frame. Then, I added my “snow” and snowflake dies. Next came, the white embossed sentiment which used the same blue card stock as the frame. I fussy cut my Copic coloured images and used a die cut iceberg to help ground them. A scattering of rhinestones added more shimmer to the piece.
Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Flowering Fields Birthday Wishes Card using the Flowering Fields Stamp Set and the Windmill Fields Dies by Stampin’ Up!
The Details of My Card
For my card, I thought it would be fun to create a Centre-Step Card, so it looks like the windmill is popping out of the tulip fields. Of course, if you have a windmill, wouldn’t it be fun to make it interactive! So, I added one of the round brads through the blades and into the windmill base.
Tip – to keep the brad from showing from behind the windmill on the card, folded down the arms at angle.
Position of Brads on Back of Windmill
The windmill was popped up with dimensionals to allow the back of the brad to have room.
I love the beautiful Flowering Fields DSP and used it for the grass/sky piece behind the windmill and the tulip fields! I pulled the colours from the DSP for my sentiment and for the ribbon. A couple of the sweet butterflies balanced out the ribbon on the sentiment.
Supplies:

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Happy Birthday My Gnomie Card as my Design Team Inspiration for Conie Fong Art & Design using Gnome Sweethearts With Dogs. This stamp set comes with 11 images including:

The Details of My Card
This stamp set is perfect for anniversaries, weddings, Valentine’s Day and anything Love, but I decided to use it for a birthday card! The sentiment is so fun and perfect for a birthday!
A friend of mine had her birthday recently and I know she loves gnomes and has 2 dogs that she dotes on. So, I thought this set would be perfect for her birthday card! I even coloured the dogs to look like hers!
For my card, I pulled out my Build a Fairy Garden Die Set to decorate my card with these fun mushrooms. Don’t you just love the sparkly fairy blowing kisses the gnomes way! Since the die cut picket fence wasn’t long enough to fit my slimline card, I cut it in half and hid the cut ends behind my gnomes. To give the fence a worn look, I sponged vintage photo ink on it. The paper I used had a gnome theme and the field of flowers and mushrooms was perfect for my card!

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my This is The Valentine Way! using Rebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. I just wanted to show how versatile the Paper Nest Dolls stamps are by making a Valentine card with this cutie!
The Details of My Card
When I was out shopping the other day, I saw some Baby Yoda Valentine cards for children to hand out. I had a light bulb moment that I could create my own Valentine with Baby Rebel!
For my card, I decided that I wanted it to be a traditional Valentine card with lots of hearts and pinks/reds/whites. I love the bright colours of the Doodlebug paper! So, perfect for a Valentine card! I thought it would be fun to place a red glimmer Valentine heart in his hand to give to you! Since he is a galaxy baby, I pulled in some stars but went with glimmery red and pink to match my colour scheme. A scattering of red rhinestones adds a bit more sparkle to this fun Valentine!

I created another Baby Rebel card for my presentation at the Wizards and Rebels Weekend for Paper Nest Dolls back in August (here is a link to that card). For this card, I used a different Copic combination for my Rebel Baby.
