My “Mine” Birthday Card

“Mine” Birthday Card - Birthday card with a burger, fries and a seagull
“Mine” Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My “Mine” Birthday Card using several retired Stampin’ Up! sets including Bistro Burger Bundle, Friendly Seagulls, and Conversation Bubbles Bundle. I used these 3 retired Stampin’ Up! Stamps Sets and the current Waterside Retreat DSP to create a card for my brother’s birthday! Have to love it when an idea comes to fruition and it turns out just like you envisioned! Yay!

The Details of My “Mine” Birthday Card

For my card, I chose a double z-fold design featuring the Waterside Retreat DSP as the backdrop.

I stamped images on Willow White Card Stock and coloured them with my Blends. This was my first time using Willow White, and I loved it! It’s smooth and ideal for blending inks, so I’ll use it for my Blends colouring moving forward.

There was a lot of colouring involved. So, here is a list of the colours I used and for which items:

  • Golden Glow: Bun and Fires
  • Pecan Pie: Meat Patty
  • Old Olive: Lettuce
  • Granny Apple Green: Pickles
  • Poppy Parade: Tomatoes
  • Pumpkin Pie: Cheese, Seagulls Beaks and Feet
  • Gray Granite: Seagulls
  • Light Smoky Slate and Color Lifter: White on Birds

Once the colouring was done, it was time to die cut the images out. I fussy cut the seagulls out with my Paper Snips.

To create my card, I used the measurements below to score the card base and the “picnic table” for my accoutrements. I utilized the Country Woods DSP for the cutting board and knife handle. For the cutting board, I trimmed it with my Paper Snips on the left side to fit my card front.

I piled the burger and fries onto the cutting board with a container of ketchup made out of Vellum and Poppy Parade card stock. For the knife’s blade, I used a scrap of Galvanized Metallic Paper, but you could use Silver Foil Paper too.

I decided to use a toothpick for the flag in the burger to make it sturdy since it had no support.

I added the Seagulls with two of them having conversation bubbles. For the “MINE” I used the Stampin’ Journaling Pen and just wrote it in. This was my homage to “Finding Nemo” with all the seagulls shouting it. Makes me laugh just thinking about it!

As a finishing touch I added a final sentiment matted in Misty Moonlight to the front with a Poppy Parade pepper to add interest.

Standing Double Z-Fold Card

My Standing Double Z-Fold Card - An Easter card with a bunny in a wreath
My Standing Double Z-Fold Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Standing Double Z-Fold Card using the Celebrate Spring February 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! I made 7 alternative cards including 6 fun folds and one regular card. I have included a photo of all the cards at the end of this post and links for more details.

The Details of My Standing Double Z-Fold Card

For this alternative card using the February 2026 Celebrate Spring Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made a stand up double z-fold card. Again, this is another card that I haven’t made before but thought it would be fun to use the floral oval for it. Plus, it looked like an Easter Egg when closed!

Card Laid Flat
My Standing Double Z-Fold Card

I used from the Arches Dies the largest one for the Shy Shamrock base, third largest one for the Lemon Lolly and the fifth largest one for the Pretty in Pink. I watched a video by Jill Casteel Blanchett from Green Thumb Stampers to help with the process.

For the Shy Shamrock base, I folded it in half and used the Arch Die to cut it out, but I  made sure that the straight bottom of the die was hanging off the card stock. This kept them attached. Then, I folded the bottom arch in half to create my first z-fold.

Next, I die cut the Lemon Lolly arches and adhered them to the Sky Shamrock card base.

For the Pretty in Pink piece, I did the same as the Shy Shamrock, but I made sure that the arch part was where the die hung off the edge of the card stock. Then, I turned the die around and ran the card stock through the arch die only at the top to get a finished arch. I folded one of the arches in half to create the second z-fold.

A Basic White arch was added to the back of the card to write a message.

All that was left was to add the twine, ephemera and sequins to my card.

Fall for Toile Alternative Cards

Fall for Toile Alternative Cards - 5 fall cards
Fall for Toile Alternative Cards

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Fall for Toile Alternative Cards using the Fall for Toile September 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! I made a total of 6 alternative cards, but I’m only sharing 5 here. The other one will be posted soon.

But, first, here are the three cards that the kit makes. Celebrate the harvest season with elegant cards inspired by autumn’s beauty. The Fall for Toile Paper Pumpkin Refill includes printed card bases and coordinating envelopes, precut paper and foil pieces, grosgrain ribbon, and everything else you need to continue crafting upscale cards with rich seasonal details.

The Details of My Fall for Toile Alternative Cards

My Centre-Step Card

For my first alternative card, I used my favourite fun fold and create a centre-step card! I thought this fold would be a fun way to have the leaves extend past the centre panel. I created my focal point using the directions from the kit but just placed it on the centre panel. For the centre panel, I embossed a piece of Cajun Craze with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder to add visual interest without detracting from the focal point.

A card with leaves on it

Next, I stamped the white printed card base pieces with the leaves just like in the original directions. A piece of the grid printed card base was added at the bottom.

    • Grosgrain Ribbon

My Double Z-Fold Card

For my second alternative card, I decided to create a double z-fold card. I thought it would be a fun alternative card for this Paper Pumpkin.

A Fun Fold Card with a Fall Scene
My Double Z-Fold Card

So, I cut apart a toile card base to use it for the two layers. For the front, I made it similar to the design used in the kit and matted it with Cajun Craze card stock.

Since the other z-fold was inside, I kept is simple and just added the toile paper and a Cajun Craze mat to keep it from being too bulky.

Finally, I added a piece of Very Vanilla to the inside on which I stamped a sentiment and leaves.

My Triple Panel Bridge Card

For my next Fall for Toile Alternative Card using Fall for Toile September 2025 Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made a triple panel bridge card.

A Card with a Cornfield and pumpkins
My Triple Panel Bridge Card

So, I took a white printed card base and cut with my Paper Trimmer 1” in on either side of the front to create 3 panels. The Precut Corn Field fit perfectly for my bridge on the front. I added the pumpkins and used the Gift of Fall August 2019 Paper Pumpkin to stamp the “Happy Thanksgiving”.

For the middle panel, I added a piece of the grid printed card base and then mounted the round circle with the stamped the sentiment. A scattering of die cut leaves using the Circle of Seasons Dies added a whimsical feel. Two strips of Cajun Craze embossed with the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder were adhered to the card base on either side of the middle panel.

For the inside, I cut apart an envelope and used a strip from the flap to add interest. The circle with the acorn was popped up to create my stopper.

My Hello Thanksgiving Card

For my last alternative card, I had a number of pieces leftover and decided to use what I could. So, I use the leftover toile card base and added a Cajun Craze border. This I mounted onto a white printed card mat and then onto a Cajun Craze card base.

A Thanksgiving card with Leaves

To help anchor the leaves, I die cut a circle using the Circle of Seasons Dies from the leftover envelope. Next, I die cut the “Hello” and added it to the circle. The Happy Thanksgiving was stamped using the same Gift of Fall Paper Pumpkin Kit onto the flag. The acorn circle helped to finish off the sentiment and balance out the one copper leaf I had leftover.
