My Pumpkin Patch Card

My Pumpkin Patch Card - a Fall card with a gnome holding a pumpkin
My Pumpkin Patch Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Pumpkin Patch Card as my Design Team Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the cute Pumpkin Gnome.

He comes with 6 images including the sentiment Sending Pumpkin Wishes:

  • Pumpkin Gnome facing left PNG/JPG
  • Pumpkin Gnome facing right PNG/JPG
  • Sentiment Sending Pumpkin Wishes PNG/JPG

Details of My Pumpkin Patch Card

For my card, I coloured with my Copic Markers my sweet Gnome in Autumnal colours to match the DSP. This DSP is perfect with those fall colours. I decided to go with a scene with the beautiful trees in all their colourful splendor! I even added some die cut leaves to match the colours in the DSP.

For my gnome, I added a die cut circle as a backdrop for him. Next, I added the stamped sentiment on a flag. I added another flag behind the die cut word “pumpkin” to make the word stand out. I thought it a fun touch to add “pumpkin” since he was picking out a pumpkin and would pick it “over and over again” just like the sentiment said!

The finishing touch was a couple of enamel dots that matched my colour scheme.

The Details of My Candy Carnival Card

Aren’t these just the cutest trick-or-treaters! I had a lot of fun colouring them with my Copic markers in spooky Halloween colours to match my paper!

For my card, I thought it would be fun to use my slimline ticket die since they are going to a Halloween carnival! Even the paper suits the Halloween carnival theme! I especially like the “admit one” paper behind the mummy ready to be torn off as he enters! Lol! The other two are partying with all their friend!

For the black arrow banner, I mounted an “Oct. 31” tag from the Doodlebug paper and added an iridescent ribbon to it. The only other embellishment, I added were a few Gorgeous Grape Glossy Dots.

Finally, to add some sparkle, I used Gold Star Gelly Roll Pen on the witch’s shoe buckles and Clear Wink of Stella to the ribbon on her hat and bow.

My Trick or Treat Card

My Trick or Treat Card - A Halloween Card with a little girl trick or treating
My Trick or Treat Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Trick or Treat Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Penelope Pumpkin from the Wynona Witch, Candy Sally, Penelope Pumpkin Bundle.

This purchase includes 5 Images:

  • Wynona Witch V1 – With Pumpkin Basket
  • Candy Sally Left
  • Candy Sally Right
  • Penelope Pumpkin V1-With Polka Dot Bag
  • Candy Sally with Trixie Right

The Details of My Trick or Treat Card

I just love Penelope in her little pumpkin costume going trick or treating with her sweet friend! I decided to colour her in traditional Halloween colours with my Copic markers to match the Doodlebug papers.

For my scene, I went with a spooky house and graveyard in front of it. Of course, she must go through the graveyard to visit the house and, you must have an eerie full moon on Halloween night! Lol! To make my moon even more eerie, I brushed Crushed Curry Ink along the edges. One thing that is cool, is that my moon glows in the dark! Finally, I added a cute 3D bat to my scene.

Next, I added the Trick or Treat paper behind my scene instead of a traditional night sky as an homage to her activity. In addition, I added the striped paper in matching colours behind the words Trick or Treat at the bottom of my card.

Finally, to add some sparkle, I used Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on her lollipops and Clear Wink of Stella to her bag. For the polka dots on her bag, I used a White Gelly Roll Pen.

Aloe Sweet Friend Card

Aloe Sweet Friend Card - Birthday card with a cactus planter on it

The Details of My Aloe Sweet Friend Card

I just loved these cute Kawaiis with the eyes that I decided to colour the Cactus Succulent Arrangement Kawaii twice in different colours. One was for a friend’s birthday who loves succulents and the other was for a colour challenge at Kendra’s Card Challenges.

My Colouring of the Cactus Succulent Arrangement Kawaii
My Colouring of the Cactus Succulent Arrangement Kawaii

For the colour challenge card, I used Copic marker combos that would be like the colours listed below. Kendra had succulent and cactus digital papers that you could download with the colours for the challenge, but in the end, I decided to use Flowering Cactus Designer Series Paper instead.

Kendra's Card Challenge - Color Challenge
Kendra’s Card Challenge – Color Challenge

The Potted Succulent Dies had a beautiful detailed outline die that covered the whole card front. So, I decided to use it with the DSP peeking out from under it. Since this piece was so detailed, I didn’t add a lot to my card, other than the focal point and the sentiments.

I used the largest Stylish Shaped circle die to add a circle from the DSP and placed it behind my image to anchor it. The sentiments were also die cut from the Stylish Shaped Dies. I added Calypso Coral frames from the Potted Succulents Dies to the sentiments to help distinguish them from the background.

Don’t you just love the pun of the sentiment, “Aloe Sweet Friend” which comes with the Bundle. For the other sentiment, I typed it on my computer, printed it and die cut it out.

Finally, the finishing touch was a scattering of Calypso Coral sequins around my focal point.

My Flutterby Birthday Card

My Flutterby Birthday Card - a birthday card with a fairy sitting on a flower looking at butterflies
My Flutterby Birthday Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Flutterby Birthday Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Flutterby Daisy.

This purchase includes 5 Images:

  • Image 1 & 2: Flutterby Daisy (Girl facing right/left) JPEG format
  • Image 3: Flutterby Daisy – without daisy flower
  • Sentiment 1: Fluttering by with a friendly hi
  • Sentiment 2: Enjoy the simple things

The Details of My Flutterby Birthday Card

For my card, I decided that I wanted to use Flutterby Daisy facing left with her daisy. I loved colouring her and her daisy with my Copic markers in bright cheery colours to match my Mintay papers. Flutterby comes with one butterfly, but I thought a couple of extra butterflies would add a touch of fun to my card!

Close Up of Fairy
Close Up of Flutterby

I found this beautiful Daisy Circle Frame a while back and thought it would be perfect for the backdrop of Flutterby! So, I die cut it in a colour that matched my colouring of her daisy and the papers.

Since I wanted to create a birthday card, I used the sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes stamp. Perfect for a fairy birthday card! Though I did use “Fluttering by with a friendly hi” for the inside of my card.

Next, I added a butterfly die cut border of the Mintay papers along the bottom of the card with it overlapping the daisy in places hiding the stem end of the coloured daisy.

Finally, the finishing touch was a scattering of Berry Burst Shimmer Gems around my card.

My Poinsettia Season Card

My Poinsettia Season Card - a Christmas card with a girl holding a poinsettia
My Poinsettia Season Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! Christmas in July might be over, but I am still adding to my Christmas card supply. Lol! So, I am sharing My Poinsettia Season Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Holly Poinsettia

The Details of My Poinsettia Season Card

I loved colouring Holly with her poinsettias using my Copic markers! She is such a sweetie!! I used colours to match the gorgeous Mintay paper! To add some sparkle, I used Star Dust Stickles on her ear muffs and pom poms on her mittens.

Of course, I had to use a tag from the matching Paper Elements for my backdrop of Holly. To tie in the greens of my colouring, I gave the tag a mat with one of the papers in the pad.

The Paper Elements also came with some envelopes that you make. I thought the floral envelope with the blue background perfectly matched my colour scheme. So, I trimmed a piece off the envelope and cut it in half. These pieces I matted with white and placed them in opposite corners of my tag so that they are peeking out from my focal point.

Since Holly had poinsettias, I decided to use my Poinsettia and Holly Punch by Nellie to make some paper flowers. The flowers were accented with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots. The gold centres mirrored the gold Gelly Roll Pen that I used on Holly’s poinsettias.

The sentiment was stamped in black and die cut out with matching the die.

Finally, the finishing touch was a scattering of red rhinestones around my card.

Gnome for Christmas Card

Gnome for Christmas Card - A Christmas Card with a gnome in front of a house in the mountains

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Gnome for Christmas Card as my Design Team Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the cute Christmas Tree Gnome and Sentiment. This bundle comes with 4 images:

  • Image 3-4: Sentiment Have A Very Merry Gnome Christmas PNG/JPG format

Details of My Gnome for Christmas Card

I had so much fun colouring this sweet gnome with my Copic markers that I coloured him twice in different shades of green. So, I have created two different cards showing the possibilities and will link my other mini slimline card at the end of this post.

Christmas Tree Gnome
Christmas Tree Gnome

For this card, I decided to create another slimline card for this cutie. I love the scenes in the Home for the Holidays paper by Stamperia and wanted to use as much of the scene as possible, especially the house and deer! So, I created a full slimline card this time.

All that the scene needed was some pine branches to frame my sentiment and a scattering of glimmer snowflakes. I decided to frame the whole scene with the Essential Cutting Slimline Dies by Studio Light with a bottom layer in Shaded Spruce to hide the ends of the pine branches and then a Real Red layer popped up on top.

The finishing touch was a scattering of wooden stars around the sentiment and Star Dust Stickles added to the star and pompoms on his hat.

I loved the Winter Gnomes Decorative Papers by The Paper Boutique! It had all these cute gnomes with Christmas presents on it. Perfect for my Christmas theme! So, I used my Bracket & Tags Dies to die cut my papers and layered them on the card base.

Once that was done, I added the die cut flag sentiment with another flag in Cherry Cobbler layered beneath. The wooden tree was from my stash and a perfect accent for the sentiment. The only other die cut was pine needles behind my gnome to make him stand out a bit from the background.

The finishing touches were a scattering of red rhinestones and some ribbon tied through the tag’s hole.

Birthday Blossom Wishes Card

Birthday Blossom Wishes Card - a birthday card with a little girl holding balloons
Birthday Blossom Wishes Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Birthday Blossom Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the beautiful Little Blossom. She is perfect for a birthday card for a special someone!

The purchase includes 3 Images:

  • 1 Image: Little Blossom Holding Balloons
  • 2 Image: Little Blossom
  • 3 Image: Little Blossom without background

The Details of My Birthday Blossom Wishes Card

I was given as a gift this beautiful handmade paper in rich reds and golds and knew I wanted to use it as a backdrop for Little Blossom on my card. So, I coloured her with my Copic markers in red and blacks with golds for the trim. I added green to the leaves on her dress and some of the balloons to break up the colours.

For my card, I had a gorgeous bloom border die from Paper Rose that looked like the flowers on her dress. So, I die cut Gold Foil Paper to match the golden trim on her dress. To add interest behind the bloom die, I embossed a piece of Basic White card stock with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. This gave it a slight texture without interfering with the beautiful golden flowers.

Next, I added a piece of floral black and white DSP to balance out the other side. Again, I thought the flowers looked similar to the flowers on her dress.

Now for my focal point! I used the beautiful handmade paper behind her and added some greenery to tie in the green balloons. The finishing touch was to add a few white blooms to brighten up my card. For the pearls in the centres, I coloured them with my Y38 Copic marker.

To add a sparkle, I added a scattering of Red Rhinestone and Clear Wink of Stella on her hair ties, the flowers and gold trim of her dress.

Birthday Shellabration Card

Birthday Shellabration Card - a birthday card with a girl listening to a shell
Birthday Shellabration Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Birthday Shellabration Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the beautiful Seashell Rosealea. I love this image so much I have used her for another card awhile back. I will include a link at the end of this post to my other card.

The Details of My Birthday Shellabration Card

For my card, I decided to colour with my Copic markers Rosealea in Summer colours matching the Doodlebug papers. I had a lot of fun colouring her hair and all her beautiful shells! Once she was done, I used a blending brush to add some Crumb Cake “sand” along the edges.

To mirror her shells, I used a cluster of shell die cuts with other ocean elements in opposite corners. The starfish in the sentiment cluster was brushed with Peach Pie Ink to give it dimension and look like the starfishes in my colouring. I also brushed Crumb Cake Ink to the Basic White coral rounds to give them dimension and a sandy look. I couldn’t resist using a leaf trinket with my sentiment cluster to highlight it!

A border of shells peeking out behind her were embossed with my Embossing Mat to make the details really stand out. Then, I brushed Crumb Cake Ink to bring out the details even more. Tip: leave the die cut shells in the metal frame, brush the ink over the frame so that only the raised areas get the ink. This keeps the ink off the other areas making the raised areas stand out even more.

To add a sparkle, I added a scattering of Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls, Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers and Star Dust Stickles to the pearls in her hair.

My Welcome MerMay Card

My Welcome MerMay Card - a mermaid in an underwater scene
My Welcome MerMay Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Welcome MerMay Card using the new release Little Mermaid by Conie Fong Art & Design as my Design Team Inspiration Card. Every May is MerMay in the card making industry and Conie Fong didn’t disappoint with this new release! Welcome to MerMay!

The Details of My Welcome MerMay Card

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card with an underwater scene for this cutie. The Mermaid Tales paper had a scene that was perfect for my background! Behind that I added paper with blue/green mermaid scales with golden accents and gold foil borders.

But first, I coloured my mermaid with my Copic markers in watery blue/green colours to match my scene. I had a lot of fun colouring the tail so that it shimmers between the blues to the greens! To add more shimmer, I used Clear Wink of Stella on her tail and Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on her starfish in her hair.

Next, I die cut the sandy bottom with the Slimline Stitched Hillside Border and used the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to give it some texture. Once that was done, I brushed Crumb Cake ink along the edges for even more texture.

To create a backdrop for her, I die cut a Basic White shell on which I brushed Crumb Cake to bring out the detail. Behind that, I added a gold fold die cut coral to tie in my golden accents.

The sentiment flag was from the Mermaid Dreams Frames & Tags and was perfect for my card! I layered beneath it another die cut flag with gold shells on it. Even more gold accents! Lol! All these golden accents really added a beautiful sparkle to the card!

The finishing touch was a scattering of dew drops which I thought looked like air bubbles.

My Ruby Bookmark Card

My Ruby Bookmark Card - a card with a pocket holding a bookmark with a dog on it
My Ruby Bookmark Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Ruby Bookmark Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Dog with Bone and Candy Cane Bundle. This Bundle is so versatile! I used the Candy Cane Dog for a Christmas tag and now I’m using Dog with Bone for a bookmark! I will include a photo of my Christmas tag at the end of this post.

This Bundle includes 4 images:

  • Title 1 and 2: Candy Cane Dog (PNG/JPG Format)
  • Title 3 and 4: Dog with Bone (PNG/JPG Format)

The Details of My Ruby Bookmark Card

I made this bookmark card for a friend’s birthday who has a dog called Ruby. So, I coloured this cutie with my Copic markers to look like her dog.

My Ruby Bookmark

I thought it would be fun to give my friend a bookmark that she could use, but still wanted to create a card. So, I created a mini slimline card with a pocket on the front in which to slip the bookmark. I love how the puppy is peeking out of the pocket! Once I coloured this cutie, I had a lot of fun decorating my card and bookmark.

For my card, I used the Slimline Tag dies from Marianne Design to create a pocket on the front. I decorated it with the puppy paws and hearts DSP. The sentiment was printed on my computer, punched out and placed with a doily behind it. I get a hoot out of the “Hot dog! It’s your birthday” from the Puppy Love paper! So, I placed it over the birthday part of the circular sentiment.

For my bookmark, I used the smaller Slimline Tags dies with the words and hearts from the Puppy Love paper. The doily gave a perfect backdrop to focus on my puppy! The puppy paws adhesive Gems added some fun bling. The tassel was from Christmas, but I thought that pop of colour was perfect for my colour scheme. So, I remove the Christmas charm and add some dog appropriate charms instead and tied it to my bookmark with some twine from my stash.

My Birthday Celebration Card

My Birthday Celebration Card - Birthday card celebrating a winter birthday with a girl
My Birthday Celebration Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Birthday Celebration Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Winter Wendy. It was my birthday a while back and I decided to colour this cutie and make a card to celebrate it!

The Details of My Birthday Celebration Card

Since I used this stamp for my birthday card, I decided to colour Wendy to look like me when I had long hair. So, I pulled out my Copic markers and gave her brown hair and eyes. I picked the colours for her clothes from my paper choice. The pink was a bit tricky to colour, but I discovered by adding E04 to the RVs, it allowed the shadows of the pinks to match my paper.

For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline to match the shape of the large snowflake die. I thought it would be fun having her pop out of this die cut snowflake opening with its matching snowy paper. I added a few die cut Pool Party snowflakes to bring out the blue/green in my colouring.

The sentiment “Celebrating You Today” summed up my birthday theme perfectly! It was stamped in black and die cut with the matching flag die.

To add sparkle, I coloured rhinestones with my Copic markers to match my colour choice. I also used Star Dust Stickles on the Pool Party snowflakes and on her pompom.

My Purr-Fect Day Card

My Purr-Fect Day Card - a birthday card with a cat holding balloons as he floats up
My Purr-Fect Day Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Purr-Fect Day Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the new release Cat With Balloons. Isn’t he just the cutest floating with his balloons!

The Details of My Purr-Fect Day Card

For my card, I decided to create a slimline slider card so that the cat looked like he was floating up as the mechanism was pulled!

So, I created a scene with the slimline clouds die from Whimsy and the stitched sun from the Spring Showers Dies. Next, I layered the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper behind it to add more clouds. Once that was done, I added a house that I fussy cut from the P13 paper and layered a few stitched hills in front.

To keep my card simple since I didn’t want to detract from the slider, I added a sentiment die cut with a stitched rectangle.

Now that the front of the card was done, it was time to create the mechanism for the slider using the Slimline Pull Tab Dies by Heffy Doodle. Tip: I used the Foam Adhesive Strips by Stampin’ Up! to create enough dimension between the front of the card and the card base to help the slider mechanism to move smoothly.

Will You Be My Gnomie?

Will You Be My Gnomie? - A Valentine Card with a Boy and Girl Gnome infant of a heart shaker
Will You Be My Gnomie?

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Will You Be My Gnomie? as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Gnome Couple. You can also draw the Boy Gnome using the video on the Draw with Conie YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/HZtUnru5-VM?si=nE7dFjqjFEtH9im7. The Details of My Will You Be My Gnomie?

For my card, I thought I would create a fun Valentine Shaker card using these cuties! So, I coloured them with my Copic markers in Valentine colours and cut them out with my Brother Scan & Cut.

The Radiant Heart Backdrop Die was perfect for my shaker part, but I need to make the card larger to fit my gnomes and the shaker. So, I made my card 6” x 6”and placed the shaker element at the top with my gnomes on either side of it.

For the shaker, I used the Stampin’ Up! Foam Adhesive Strips around the heart and again around the perimeter of the rectangle to create two shaker parts. This allowed the sequins to look like they are loose throughout but kept a nice selection visible in the heart at all times. The “Love” heart shaker elements and sequins were perfect colours to match my colour scheme. Some die cut candy hearts and a heart garland decorated my shaker element.

The sentiment was from Sassy’s Cards & Gifts. She gives out downloadable sentiments each month for free and this one was from the recent video! I was visiting my friend while putting this card together and she let me try out her Mini Minc Machine to red foil the sentiment. Love the shine! I need one of these! Lol!

To add sparkle, I used a scattering of red rhinestones and Star Dust Stickles on gnomes’ pompoms, the boy’s heart, and the girl’s flower.
