My Rubik’s Cube Card

My Rubik’s Cube Card - a birthday card with a name and two cubes blown out
My Rubik’s Cube Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here again. I am sharing My Rubik’s Cube Card that I sent to a teenage who has a collection of Rubik’s Cubes. I saw this fun pop-up card that a fellow demonstrator/friend, Laura Seki, made and thought I would use the pop-up mechanism but make the card my own by using some digital papers that I found online.

The Details of My Rubik’s Cube Card

For my card, I found a Rubik’s Cube party invite on Etsy, but I only wanted some of the graphic elements. So, I pulled it into Canva and deleted all the text from the invite. Then I scaled it to the size I wanted and printed 2 copies. I also printed out a scaled down colourful background to use for the front and for the inside.

Next, I used my paper trimmer to trim the colourful border off the invite. This I layered onto the colourful background. For the final print out, I used my paper snips to trim around the exploding Rubik’s cubes. These were popped up with Black dimensionals.

Close Up of Cube on Front

All this was layered onto a Blueberry Bushel mat and then onto the Basic Black card front.

To decorate the front, I added the name of the teenager in similar colours to the Rubik’s Cube in the print outs. These were popped up with Foam Adhesive Sheets.

The sentiment was stamped in Black and die cut out using the largest flag from the Stylished Shapes Dies. One end was snipped down, and the other end was tucked under the top Cube.

The finishing touch was to add a scattering of matching coloured rhinestones.

Inside of My Rubik’s Cube Card

For the inside, I used the directions that Laura showed on her Facebook Group Page to create my Cube. I included the measurements for the scoring below. Next, I added my squares to the cube positioning them as best I could to create a mixed-up cube instead of a solved one. So, I had lots of coloured squares to add. Lol! I added adhesive to the top and bottom section to secure it to the card.

Then I stamped the sentiment and punched it out. I layered it on a piece of colourful background with a Blueberry Bushel mat at the top of the card.

For the bottom of the card, I used my computer to create a custom sentiment with one of the cube graphics.

Just a Note Cards

Just a Note Cards - 4 cards with flowers
Just a Note Cards

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Just a Note Cards using the Fragrant Layers Bundle by Stampin’ Up! I thought pairing this Bundle with the Splash of Sparkles Specialty Designer Series Paper would create fresh spring like cards. Perfect for this time of year!

The Details of My Just a Note Cards

For my cards, I decided to use the piece of the Splash of Sparkles DSP with the blocks of colour. From this, I pulled my colour scheme for each card creating 4 cards in total, but I could have made more. Lol!

Green and Blue Card
Shy Shamrock, Balmy Blue and Pool Party Card

First, I created a Basic White frame with the gorgeous detailed floral die. From that I popped up a layer of the DSP behind it. Next, I layered Layer 2 and then Layer 3 behind my focal point. This was layered onto an embossed Basic White and finally onto the card base.

Pink and Orange Card
Pretty in Pink, Timid Tiger and Bubble Bath Card

Using the DSP to pick out my sentiment colour, I embossed it in white and die cut with the banner die. A white flower with matching coloured leaves directs the eye to the sentiment.

Yellow and Blue Card
Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and Lemon Lolly Card

To finish off my cards, I added a scattering of Pearlized Faceted Circles or Easter Assortment Embellishments depending on the colours used on the cards.

My Cruising By Card

My Cruising By Card - a card with an odometer and gears on it
My Cruising By Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here to share My Cruising By Card using the Speedometer Etched Dies from Spellbinders and the Gears & Textures Bundle by Stampin’ Up! A good friend’s birthday was yesterday and there has been a lot of interest in the card that I gave him. So, I decided to create a post with details for those who have asked.

Our friend loves to take his Corvette cars to the track and race them around. So, when I saw the Speedometer Etched Dies and matching Cruisin’ By Sentiments Stamp & Die Set, I knew they would be perfect for his birthday card.

The Details of My Cruising By Card

I decided to reuse an old card front that has some cool metallic embossing on it. I had been saving this for years in my stash for the perfect card. It reminded me of the retired SU Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. Since I was reusing this old card front, I decided to create a Centre-Step card where I could work around the glue that was on the front.

Old Card Front and Odometer
Old Card Front and Odometer

Once that was decided, I die cut all the bits to build my odometer and die cut the stamped the sentiments.

Then, I die cut the different gears sizes using the Gears and Textures Dies and the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper by Stampin’ Up!

Next, I adhered the embossed panels to my card base, as well as the bottom panel which used a strip of the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper.

Side View of Card
Side View of Card

I popped up my odometer and tucked in the gears around it on the different panels. I love how by adding the gears to the side panels, it created dimension. For the top two gears, I added spinning nail charms to make them interactive.

Since there is so much going on with the card front, the only embellishment that I added was a retired key trinket beside the sentiment. How fun is that!

As a finishing touch, I stamped a couple of elements from the Gears & Textures Stamp Set in Basic Gray on the inside along with the sentiment in Black. I matted the stamped Basic White with Basic Black and adhered them down.

2026-28 In Color Bookmarks

Every year I am asked to create a Stampin’ Up! In Color bookmark file. So, I am sharing my 2026-28 In Color Bookmarks using my PDF file that I created for this purpose. When you download the PDF file print it with the fit to page setting in the Adobe Acrobat on Basic White. All files are at the end of this post including a French version, as well as the files for the 2025-27 In Colors from last year.

For these bookmarks, I used four different bundles including Cutest Crew Bundle, Fragrant Layers Bundle, Sunset Coast Bundle (Sneak Peek) and Capturing Smiles Bundle, I had such a fun time making my bookmarks that I found I just kept going! Lol! Though I love the puppy version the best!

I used the 2026–2028 In Colour Butterflies to decorate the Puppy version almost like the puppies are chasing them. For the other bookmarks, I used the 2026–2028 In Color Dots to decorate them.

Stampin’ Blends/Card Stock Bookmarks

For my next bookmark, I stamped the bird from the Cutest Crew in the new Basic Black Hybrid Stampin’ Pad and coloured them with my Blends. A die cut bird in a matching colour was centred over the stamp image. To decorate them, I added matching 2026–2028 In Color Dots.

Next, I stamped the large floral from the Fragrant Layers in Crumb Cake to create a no-lines effect. I wanted to create a soft subtle look allowing the colours to shine through. For these bookmark, I trimmed down the large stamped floral to 1-3/8” wide making sure that I centred over the flowers. Once I had the width, I trimmed each piece in sequence at ¾” tall.

I matted them with 7/8”x 1 ½” mats in matching colours and added a matching die cut flower and butterfly.

Easy Card Stock Bookmarks

For my last set of bookmarks, I cut a ½” x 11” strip of card stock for each colour. I glue them directly to the print out before cropping the bookmarks down. I them cut them apart creating 5 bookmarks. Fast and easy!

My Bunny Wishes Card

My Bunny Wishes Card - a thinking of you card with a bunny holding daisies and carrots
My Bunny Wishes Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Bunny Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Daisy Carrot Bunny Bouquet Bundle. I used the sentiment “Some Bunny is Thinking of You” from Bunny Daffodil Bundle for my card.

This Bundle includes 6 images:

  • Title 1: Daisy Bunny Bouquet LEFT (JPG format)
  • Title 2: Daisy Bunny Bouquet Right (JPG format)
  • Title 3: Daisy Carrot Bunny Bouquet LEFT (JPG format)
  • Title 4: Daisy Carrot Bunny Bouquet Right (JPG format)
  • Title 5 & 6: Sentiment Thoughts of You Make Me Smile (JPG and PNG format)

The Details of My Bunny Wishes Card

Easter is this weekend, but not everyone celebrates it. So, I thought I would make a versatile card that can be used for Easter, Mother’s Day, a birthday or a thinking of you.

First, I coloured this cutie with my Copic markers to match the Bunnies & Blooms papers. Such pretty papers with their muted colours and Easter themes! To add to the muted colours, I brushed some Vintage Photo Ink on the edges of the papers and the sentiment which was die cut with the largest flag die from the Stylish Shapes.

Next, I layered him onto a die cut Old Olive Daisy Circle. Perfect to mirror the daisies in the bunny’s arms! A die cut circle with eggs on it from the paper pack was layered behind him. The “Celebrate” sticker was added with a puffy heart to finish off my focal point.

A couple of puffy stickers on either side of my sentiment tied in the muted colour scheme and added interest.
