Grad Accordion Alternative Card

Grad Accordion Alternative Card - a Graduation card with fireworks on it
Grad Accordion Alternative Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Grad Accordion Alternative Card using the Sparkling Celebrations May 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up!

The Details of My Grad Accordion Alternative Card

I needed a grad card and thought this kit with the fireworks would make a fun accordion card! A special fun fold for a special grad!

So, I cut and scored my Basic White card base according to the measurements below. If you didn’t have a 12” x 12” piece of card stock, you could use 2 pieces of card stock that measure 7 ½” x 5 ½” and 7” x 5 ½” and adhere them together to create your 11-7/8” x 5 ½”. But I wanted to make it easy for me. So, I used one piece of Basic White card stock. Lol!

Once the card base was done, I used the Blue Sky Card Bases in the Kit to create my panels. You will need a full card base and part of another one. For the inside sentiment panel, I used a Coastal Cabana mat with a Basic White piece for the written area.

For the front panel, I popped up the Fireworks Cluster Ephemera and adhered the half firework behind it.

The sentiment from the retired Blue Ribbon Stamp Set was stamped in Misty Moonlight on the sentiment starburst provided in the Kit and then popped in behind the Fireworks Cluster Ephemera.

Next, I used the retired Playful Alphabet Dies for my Basic White “2026” and adhered them to the firework cluster.

For the inside panels, I popped up the smaller fireworks on two of them so that they can be seen when the card is closed and adhered the second half firework to the last panel.

The finishing touches were to add some diplomas, a grad hat and the gems that came in the Kit. I love the whimsical placement of the hat on the “0” of the year!

True North Canada Card

True North Canada Card - a Happy Canada Day Card with a girl, beaver and boy on it.
True North Canada Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Canada Day! It’s Laurie here to share my True North Canada Card using the True North Strong & Free Stamp Set by Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

The Details of My True North Canada Card

For my card, I had a lot of fun colouring with my Copic Markers the beaver, the leaves and these cuties. In fact, I coloured the girl and boy to match my hubby and me! Once that was done, I cut them out with my Brother Scan n’ Cut.

The O Canada 2 papers by PhotoPlay were perfect for my Canadian themed card! They even had matching ephemera that I used for the wording. This made making my card a breeze!

I added Wink of Stella to all the maple leaves including their shirts to make them shimmer. I also added Black Gelly Roll Pen to the beaver’s nose.

For embellishments, I added some red rhinestones to tie in my colour scheme.

True North Beavers Card

A Canada Day card with two beavers on it
True North Beavers Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here with my True North Beavers Card using ‘Canadian Beavers’ Digital Stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios. This stamp is quintessentially Canadian, and I thought it would make a great Canada Day card!

The Details of My Card

For my card, I knew that I wanted to use the O Canada 2 cardstock. I have been waiting to use it since I bought it last summer! It’s perfect to celebrate Canada Day especially with the Eh! word bubbles! Lol! I also knew that I wanted to use the maple leaves and wood grain papers. So, I created a simple tryptic card front to layer my polaroid focal point.

The beavers were coloured with my Copic markers to match the papers. I made the parent beaver a little darker than the little beaver to help distinguish the two. I coloured their noses with a black gelly pen and used a white one to add highlights. Once they were coloured, I placed them into my polaroid frame that I die cut out. It’s like they are taking a selfie on Canada Day! Lol!

I added a die cut maple leaf at the base of the polaroid frame with a sentiment from the stickers. The stitched real red heart was die cut and layered with a heart with maple leaves from the ephemera pack to balance the sentiment. I trimmed down the True North piece from the ephemera pack and place it so that it was peeking out from my frame. Red rhinestones were the finishing touch adding some sparkle and tying in my red colour scheme.

Happy Canada Day Card

Winnie the Pooh holding a Canadian Flag for a Happy Canada Day
Happy Canada Day Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian peeps! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my mini slimline Happy Canada Day Card using Red, White & Pooh! Digital Stamp by Polka Dot Orchard.

The Details of My Card

I’m a big fan of Winnie the Pooh and when I saw this stamp, I couldn’t resist buying it and colouring it with my Copic markers on Canada Day!

I don’t have a lot of Canadian papers and embellishments, but the Celebrate Everything Designer Series Paper was perfect since it has a design with fireworks! The Canadian flag and Eh! Maple leaf are toppers for food that I repurpose for my card. I used my Gelly Roll Pen and a red rhinestone to add some sparkle to Piglet’s sparkler. A scattering of more red rhinestones tie in the Canadian theme.
