My Birthday Lily Card

My Birthday Lily Card - a birthday card with flowers on it
My Birthday Lily Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Birthday Lily Card using the Valley in Bloom Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! I love this Suite, especially the beautiful Valley in Bloom Designer Series Paper so much that I made another card using this Suite and will share it at the end of this post.

The Details of My Birthday Lily Card

For my card, I wanted to use the DSP with the design along the 4 edges. I made this card for a swap and since I was making so many I wanted to maximize my DSP. So, I decided to cut each DSP vertically into 3” pieces and then I further cut these pieces into 1” strips. This allowed me to have four 3” pieces along the top and bottom of the DSP.

Once the DSP was cut, I layered it onto a Basic White mat with a slight gap between strips and then a Coastal Cabana mat. Tip: make sure your pieces are in the right order before adhering them down. Then, start with the two end strips followed by the centre strip to help with placement.

I embossed the Granny Apple Green card stock with the gorgeous Floral Spray 3D Embossing Folder which is back in stock! This was adhered to a Basic White card base.

Since I loved the DSP so much, I didn’t want to cover it up too much. So, I decided to use vellum and die cut it with one of the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I love that the DSP peeks through it!

Time to build the flowers! I brushed Costal Cabana Ink onto the Basic White flowers to give them a bit more dimension. These were adhered to the stem right over top of the flowers on the stem. The Granny Apple Green leaves were die cut and tucked behind the sentiment along with the stem.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white and die cut with the largest banner from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

A scattering of Shimmering Dots added more sparkle to my card.

So, I am sharing my Fairy Christmas Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Molly’s Fairy Gift from Molly Fairy Christmas Bundle. The Details of My Fairy Christmas Wishes Card

For my card, I decided to colour her in the traditional Christmas colours of red and green to match the beautiful White Christmas Papers by Mintay. So, I used my Copic markers to colour her and her little friend. Once that was done, I added Star Dust Stickles to all the white trim and Clear Wink of Stella to her wings.

I decided to use a quarter rounder punch on the corners of the mats and papers to add interest. Then, I used the Holly Flourish and die cut it in Mossy Meadow. I snipped it apart so that I could have the flourish peeking out at the top right and bottom left corners. I always love to have my flourishes peeking out and wrapping around the top layers!

Next, I used a paper poinsettia to balance the sentiment from Bauble Gnome and Sentiment Bundle. The silver snowflake layered behind my sentiment added some sparkle to my card.

Finally, for embellishments, I added a scattering of Red Rhinestones.

My Alternative Fun Fold Cards

My Alternative Fun Fold Cards - Two birthday card with a beach an cottage scene on them
My Alternative Fun Fold Cards

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing the last two of My Alternative Fun Fold Cards using the Lakeside Retreat April 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! I made a total of 5 alternative cards that were all fun folds.

The Details of My Shadow Box Alternative Card

Since the Kit had a number of scenes, I decided to use the beach scene to create a shadow box card. So, I used two same size pieces of Misty Moonlight to create a front and back base and scored them both according to the measurements below.

A birthday card with a beach scene

Once that was done, I used the score marks to centre the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to create my window on one of the Misty Moonlight bases.

For my beach scene to fit, I had to trim it down to the measurements below. Then, I stamped the bullrushes on the right with the birds above them in Peaceful Pine and adhered it to the Misty Moonlight card base that I didn’t die cut. I added the Self-adhesive pebble embellishments on the left to balance the stamping.

Next, I adhered the two card bases together by only adding glue to the end panels. Then I adhered the striped strips to the front of the card where these panels were.

The sentiments were stamped on the appropriate pieces. The one was adhered to the Pecan Pie Board Ephemera. The other was popped up with the bike adhered behind it. The Wood Strip was trimmed down and popped up with the Pecan Pie Board Ephemera inserted beneath it. The oar was adhered directly to the Wood Strip.

The Details of My Book Binding Alternative Card

For my final card, I decided to create a book binding card and thought the circle with the scene would fit perfectly on my card!

I stamped the bullrushes on the Wooden Card Base in opposite corners so that they would be peeking out from behind the circle. Next, I stamped the sentiments on the appropriate pieces.

Then, it was time to build my card. I adhered the book part of the card on the inside so that only the right side opened. Next, I added the Misty Moonlight mats to the Wooden Card Base and the Striped Card Base and adhered them to the front of the card base. The circles were adhered down along with the sentiments and one oar. The life jacket and the other oar were popped up.

Grad Accordion Alternative Card

Grad Accordion Alternative Card - a Graduation card with fireworks on it
Grad Accordion Alternative Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Grad Accordion Alternative Card using the Sparkling Celebrations May 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up!

The Details of My Grad Accordion Alternative Card

I needed a grad card and thought this kit with the fireworks would make a fun accordion card! A special fun fold for a special grad!

So, I cut and scored my Basic White card base according to the measurements below. If you didn’t have a 12” x 12” piece of card stock, you could use 2 pieces of card stock that measure 7 ½” x 5 ½” and 7” x 5 ½” and adhere them together to create your 11-7/8” x 5 ½”. But I wanted to make it easy for me. So, I used one piece of Basic White card stock. Lol!

Once the card base was done, I used the Blue Sky Card Bases in the Kit to create my panels. You will need a full card base and part of another one. For the inside sentiment panel, I used a Coastal Cabana mat with a Basic White piece for the written area.

For the front panel, I popped up the Fireworks Cluster Ephemera and adhered the half firework behind it.

The sentiment from the retired Blue Ribbon Stamp Set was stamped in Misty Moonlight on the sentiment starburst provided in the Kit and then popped in behind the Fireworks Cluster Ephemera.

Next, I used the retired Playful Alphabet Dies for my Basic White “2026” and adhered them to the firework cluster.

For the inside panels, I popped up the smaller fireworks on two of them so that they can be seen when the card is closed and adhered the second half firework to the last panel.

The finishing touches were to add some diplomas, a grad hat and the gems that came in the Kit. I love the whimsical placement of the hat on the “0” of the year!
