My Swing Fun Fold Card

My Swing Fun Fold Card - a masculine card with an unusual fold.
My Swing Fun Fold Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Swing Fun Fold Card using the Nature’s Symphony Bundle and the Textured Notes Dies by Stampin’ Up! I made a similar fun fold card using the Stampin’ Up! Advent Calendar products and it was a huge hit on my Stamp with Laurie Facebook Group. So, I decided to use current products to create a masculine card that is sure to wow.

The Textured Notes Dies are on the Last Chance List. So, if you don’t have them now is the time to get them!

Stepped-Up Swing Version

I also made a Stepped-Up Swing Version where I added extra panels behind my focal point.

Same card but more details added

I also used Old Olive and Mossy Meadow for the leaves plus mounted the sentiment on a tree bark die cut.

The Details of My Swing Fun Fold Card

For my card, I decided to use the Nature’s Symphony Bundle with the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper to create my masculine version. Perfect for a guy card!

I went with the colour combo of Mossy Meadow, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla and a pop of Old Olive to match the papers. I loved the written DSP and decided to use it for my focal point on the front.

Using the large leafy die, I die cut Old Olive Two-Tone Cardstock and sniped it apart. This allowed me to turn over one of the stems to give a subtle colour variation on the leaves.

When I stamped the inside sentiment in Mossy Meadow, I made sure to stamp on the last panel of the Very Vanilla before adhering it to the card base. I learned that the hard way! Lol! You could also fold the Very Vanilla piece to see where the panel ends to help centre the sentiment. The front sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow and adhered with the branches tucked in behind it.

A finishing touch was to add a scattering of Faux Bronze Pentagons around my focal point.

Instructions:

  1. Use the third largest Textured Notes Die to cut a rectangle in the front of the Mossy Meadow card base and set aside
  2. Score Very Vanilla according to measurements listed below and stamp sentiment
  3. Adhere large Crumb Cake piece to inside of Mossy Meadow card base
  4. Adhere one end of the Very Vanilla to the Crumb Cake making sure there is an equal border on side, top and bottom
  5. Adhere the other end of Very Vanilla to the inside front of card with glue only along fold and 1 ¾” from fold along top and bottom
  6. Adhere thinner Crumb Cake piece to the inside panel beside the sentiment panel and add DSP
  7. Add DSP to the die cut rectangle for front focal point
  8. Close card and adhere the focal point to the right side of the front opening. If tight fit, sand a little off top and bottom.
  9. Add sentiment cluster and leaves to the left side of focal point otherwise they might interfere with opening and closing
  10. Add embellishments

Beautiful Valentine Cards

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Beautiful Valentine Cards using the Special Delivery January 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! I made 5 alternative cards including 3 with fun folds and 2 as regular cards.

But, first, here are the three cards that the kit makes. Craft the prettiest handmade valentines with the Special Delivery Paper Pumpkin Kit! These charming floral cards are perfect for sweet messages to friends and loved ones, with gold foil and nostalgic postage stamp designs to make every note feel special.

The Details of My Beautiful Valentine Cards

My Gate Fold Card

For my card, I used one of the note cards in the kit but scored it at 1-7/8” and 5-5/8” to create my gate. Next, I cut apart a blue envelope from the kit to decorate the front of my card. I trimmed down the front of the envelope so that the address label was centred. I kept 2 strips of leftover envelope for the inside of my card.

A blue Valentine card with blue flowers
My Gate Fold Card

For my focal point, I used the blue flowers ephemera and centred it in the address label. I stamped the “Love Heart” sentiment in Blueberry Bushel and used a circle die to cut it out. Then, I used a Spotlight in Nature die to die cut a Blueberry Bushel mat. A scattering of Rhinestones added sparkle.

Inside Panel of Gate Fold Card

For the inside gate part, I used the postage die from the Beautiful Blooms Add-on Dies to die cut a Basic White piece on which I stamped the sentiment and roses from the Kit. This was matted with a Blueberry Bushel mat. A strip of the envelope was tucked in behind this to tie in the front.

Since the original fold for the card was on the inside, I added a Blueberry Bushel mat to cover it up. Then, I stamped the sentiment on Basic White and added a strip of the envelope making sure that it lined up with the strip on the inside gate part.

My Bridge Card

For my next alternative card, I decided to create a bridge card using the pink plaid card base from the Kit. The floral postage ephemera was perfect for this kind of card! So, I cut the front at 1” and 4 ½” up to the fold to create my 3 panels.

A pink Valentine card with flowers

Next, I stamped my “Love Heart” sentiments in various places while I had the floral ephemera in place. Then, I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets to die cut a Poppy Parade “Beautiful” from the Beautiful Blooms Add-on Dies. I only added 2 popped up flowers to my card front and reserved the other one for the inside.

Inside Panel of Card

Once the front was done, it was time to work on the inside panel. Again, I stamped the “Love Heart” sentiments but made sure they were hidden when the card was closed. I used the postage die from the Beautiful Blooms Add-on Dies to die cut a Garden Green piece for my background. I decorated it with 2 postage stamp ephemeras and the remaining flower.

For the inside, I placed strips of leftover envelope from the prior card and placed them on either side. Then, I stamped the 2 sentiment stamps to complete my card.

My Easel Card

For my next alternative card using the January 2026 Special Delivery Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made an easel card.

Easel Card - a card with postage stamps and flowers

For this card, I used the leftover frame from the punched out postage ephemera. I love this idea of repurposing pieces that would otherwise be thrown out!

First, I created my card base according to the measurements below. Then, I added a Poppy Parade mat and a stamped Bubble Bath mat so that the stamping would show through the empty spots in the frame.

Next, I decided to use the leftover postage ephemeras from the card above but popped them up from the frame. I placed 4 of them in their matching spots but I moved the small rose one to give support to my “Beautiful” die cut. To add interest and fill in space, I added a heart puffy sticker from the Softest Spring Mix & Match Puffy Stickers above the “Beautiful” sentiment.

Finally, for the inside, I used a leftover strip from the blue envelope and matted it with Poppy Parade. “Sending Love” was stamped on a circle from the kit and popped up.

My Other Alternative Cards

Here are my other alternative cards that created using the Special Delivery January 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit. These final cards are regular card bases using the elements from the Kit with the addition of card stock and the Beautiful Blooms Add-on Dies.

My Sketch Card

Stampin’ Up! has a sketch challenge going on and I thought the postage stamps ephemera lent themselves to it. #CreativeChallengeSU

Sketch for card design
Stampin’ Up! Sketch

I used one of the card bases and added a strip from one of the green envelopes to the top of my card. To add interest, I added a die cut gold “Beautiful” and a thin gold border to my header. Then, I layered the ephemera according to the sketch. I decided to add some gold embossed “Love Heart” sentiments as the smaller elements in the sketch. These were punched out with a 1” punch from my stash. I also gold embossed the “Happy Valentine’s” sentiment. Lots of golden accents for this card!

Puppy Valentine Card

For my last alternative card, my puppy literally ate part of my card! Lol! I was working on my cards and noticed that my puppy was chewing! I had dropped the green leaves and he discovered them. The top is a photo of what was left of it after he snacked on it.

Leaves and stems
Leftovers from Puppy

So, it became part of one of my alternative cards! I kept the background the same as the card in the kit but added a Garden Green backdrop to my rose. For the rose, I cut the bottom row of petals off, glued them down and then used dimensionals to pop up the central part. It gave it a fun 3D look!

Then, I tucked in the remaining leaves around the rose. I used the Foam Adhesive Sheets to die cut a poppy Parade “Beautiful” from the Beautiful Blooms Add-on Dies. Can you tell I love this die cut word! I used it on 4 of my 5 alternative cards! Lol!

As a finishing touch I added a butterfly puffy sticker from the Softest Spring Mix & Match Puffy Stickers.

My Otterly Amazing Card

My Otterly Amazing Card - a card with otters on it
My Otterly Amazing Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Otterly Amazing Card using the Otterly Amazing Bundle which includes the Otterly Amazing Stamp Set and the Otterly Amazing Dies by Stampin’ Up!

The Details of My Otterly Amazing Card

I received a fun puzzle card in a swap back in October and thought this fun fold would work well with the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper, especially the pages with the scene. But this card was for a swap, and I didn’t have enough papers with the scene. So, I used other playful aquatic scenes as well to complete my swaps.

Two of my Cards with Different Scenes
Two of my Cards with Different Scenes

For my card, I took a 11” x 4 ¼” Pretty Peacock piece and scored it according to the instructions below. Then, I cut a to 5 ½” x 4 ¼” piece to the measurements below. Tip: once the base is folded, adhere the smaller piece to the front when it is closed so that everything lines up.

Next, I added my DSP to the appropriate squares to create my scene. I love that the dies cut out several otters from the DSP. So, instead of colouring them (I know gasp! Lol!), I die cut one for each card.

To add to my scene, I die cut some seaweed from Old Olive card stock and added it to the left side of card, overlapping the sentiment.

For the sentiment, I white embossed it on a piece of Balmy Blue and die cut it out with the smallest rectangle from the Something Fancy Dies.

For the inside, I added a piece of Basic White with the fish and sentiment stamped in Lost Lagoon.

As a finishing touch to the front of my card, I added a scattering of Riverside Irregular Pearls.

My Sweet Valentine Card

My Sweet Valentine Card - a Valentine card with a lady on it
My Sweet Valentine Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Sweet Valentine Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the beautiful Isabella Blossoms. This purchase includes 2 Images with girl facing right and left.

The Details of My Sweet Valentine Card

Valentine’ Day is coming up! So, I thought I would create a Valentine card with this beautiful lady. I coloured her in pinks and reds to match the Art Options Rouge Paper by 49 and Market. Love this paper and the matching Chipboard Elements! The paper has a lot of texture and design to it already. Therefore, my card didn’t need much to finished it off! Card making made easy!

Since my card was for Valentine’s Day, I pulled out a heart lace doily as a backdrop to my focal point. Then, I layered several chipboard elements to create my sentiment beside Isabella. I also added the “XOXO” chipboard flag at the top of my card.

Next, I added Clear Star Gelly roll pen to the centre of the flowers for sparkle. To soften the look, I lightly touched the centres with my finger to remove some of the gel. I also added Glossy Accents to the green pearls in her hair.

The finishing touch was a scattering of sequins and rhinestones that matched my colour scheme.

My Happy Mail Card

My Happy Mail Card - a card with a letter sticking out of a mailbox.
My Happy Mail Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Happy Mail Card using the Sending Love Bundle and the Perennial Postage Dies by Stampin’ Up! I am so glad to see that both are carrying over to the new Annual Catty! However, the Bee Mine Designer Series Paper is retiring! So, if you want to get it, today is the last day!

The Details of My Happy Mail Card

For my card, I thought it would be fun to use the Perennial Postage Dies with the mailbox from the Sending Love Bundle! Who doesn’t love to get happy mail! So, I created a collage of DSP postage backgrounds for my mail elements. For the narrow postage die, I decided to stamp the franking stamp in Pool Party and then add the die cut Sent with Love Real Red sentiment with die cut hearts that match the DSP.

Next, I created an interactive mailbox with a repositionable Real Red flag using a round brad. I stamped the MAIL onto the mailbox in Real Red and added a Real Red post. I placed my mailbox at an angle so that the letter looks like it is falling out of the mailbox. Lol!

Don’t you just love the little letter that I die cut in more DSP. I couldn’t resist sealing it with an adhesive-backed heart!

The finishing touch was a few adhesive-backed flowers to add a fun element to my card.

My Favorite Song Card

My Favorite Song Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Favorite Song Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Decade Collection Roller Skating Ellie. There are ten dolls in the Decade Collection that come in both rubber and digital stamps. You can find all the digital versions here.

Decade Doll Collection by Paper Nest Dolls
Decade Doll Collection by Paper Nest Dolls

The Details of My Favorite Song Card

I had coloured this stamp with my Copic markers a while back…in fact, since I liked her so much, I coloured her twice at the time! Lol! So, I decided to finally get this one onto a card especially since I bought the perfect Walkman dies by My Favorite Things!

For my card, I thought that the Walkman would make a fun shaker. So, I built my Walkman using the dies and even added four layers to the red foam ear pieces to give them some dimension! I used a Window Sheet for where my shaker sequins would go. Once that was built, I added Foam Adhesive Strips between the top and the cassette paper to enclose my sequins. I thought that the cassette paper was a great backing for my Walkman! The skates and disco ball paper behind my focal point was perfect for my theme!

The sentiment was from a retired Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set, but you could easily type this out on your computer and printing it. It was stamped in black ink and die cut out using the Stitched Rectangles.

To add some sparkle to the card, I used Stickles on Ellie’s pompoms on her skates. For the musical notes, I used holographic paper to give them an iridescent look! Very hip for the 80’s. Lol! The final touch was adding Glossy Accents to her Walkman case.

My Puppy Valentine Card

My Puppy Valentine Card - A Valentine Card with two puppies enjoying spaghetti
My Puppy Valentine Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! Happy Valentine’s Day! I am sharing My Puppy Valentine Card using Puppy Love Stamp Set by Kindred Stamps that I used for my Hubby’s Valentine card! We love Disney and the Lady and the Tramp movie is a favourite of ours! So, when I saw this stamp set, I knew I would use it for his card.

The Details of My Puppy Valentine Card

For my card, I decided to make a mini slimline card to match my Falling Hearts Etched Metal Die by Photo Play. So, I used the Flirty Flamingo hearts paper from the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! with this die. This DSP is free during Sale-a-Bration 2024 and is perfect for those Valentine cards with its hearts and gold accents! I also used a solid Real Red plaid piece from this DSP as a base peeking through the hearts and extended it beyond the die cut Falling Hearts to create a mat.

Since I had the Candy Hearts Dies out already out from my other cards, I decided to use them again! Two hearts were clustered around the sentiment from Conie Fong Art & Design and the other two hearts with a heart doily above the puppies.

The only embellishments that I added were some Red Rhinestones scattered to add sparkle.

My Love Potion No. 9 Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Love Potion No. 9 Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Love Potion Avery from the Love Potion Set. This Set includes 3 stamps which are Love Potion Amara, Love Potion Avery, and the Love Potion.

The Details of My Card

For my card, I decided to create a fun faux shaker card. I have been wanting to make one for a while and thought this would a perfect card for it! My card is super easy and fast to make!

For those of you who don’t know what a faux shaker card is, I used a clear envelope over my project. I then added my shaker bits to the bag and sealed it. Easy peasy!

I love the Valentine Doodlebug paper that I used for the backdrop of my card. The sentiment piece was also from the Doodlebug paper pad, and I just framed it with my colour scheme.

Since I added sequins and hearts as my shaker pieces, I decided to go simple with the other embellishments. I added layered die cut hearts to one corner of the sentiment with a heart gem on top.

The Love Potion Set comes with the Love Potion by itself. So, I coloured it like the one Avery is holding and added it to another corner of the sentiment.

The finishing touch was Glossy Accents to her glasses and beaker and Stickles to the hearts in the potions.

Valentine Kiss Card

A Valentine Card with two bears kissing while holding a box of chocolates.
Valentine Kiss Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Valentine Kiss Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Bella and Benji Kiss.

This digital purchase includes 4 stamps:

  • Image: Bella and Benji Kiss
  • Sentiment 1: Happy Anniversary Sentiment
  • Sentiment 2: Happy Valentine’s Day
  • Sentiment 3: I Love You

The Details of My Card

Conie Fong makes the cutest bears and these two are perfect for a Valentine, an anniversary, and even a birthday! For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline Valentine card since it is only a few weeks away.

I had fun colouring them with my Copic markers. Don’t you just love the blue jeans that they are wearing! I went with red/pink for her top and the box of chocolates since they are the quintessential colours for Valentine’s Day! I also made his shirt white to match her polka dots.

Have to love being able to use scraps! I had some scraps of the Doodlebug paper leftover from another project which were perfect for a mini slimline card!

The die cut rectangle from the Swiss Collection created a wonderful back drop for these cuties since the frame looked like hearts. I love the versatility of these dies that can layer depending on the size of your card! I went with the two middle rectangle dies since they fitted the slimline shape perfectly!

For the die cut heart, I went with white to add some contrast from the background and to create a focal point for my sentiment. A scattering of red rhinestones around the sentiment added a bit of sparkle.

The finishing touches were Clear Wink of Stella on Bella’s hair bow, her polka dots on her shirt and the bow on the box of chocolates.

This is The Valentine Way!

My Valentine Card with Baby Yoda and hearts on it.
This is The Valentine Way!

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my This is The Valentine Way! using Rebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. I just wanted to show how versatile the Paper Nest Dolls stamps are by making a Valentine card with this cutie!

The Details of My Card

When I was out shopping the other day, I saw some Baby Yoda Valentine cards for children to hand out. I had a light bulb moment that I could create my own Valentine with Baby Rebel!

For my card, I decided that I wanted it to be a traditional Valentine card with lots of hearts and pinks/reds/whites. I love the bright colours of the Doodlebug paper! So, perfect for a Valentine card! I thought it would be fun to place a red glimmer Valentine heart in his hand to give to you! Since he is a galaxy baby, I pulled in some stars but went with glimmery red and pink to match my colour scheme. A scattering of red rhinestones adds a bit more sparkle to this fun Valentine!

My Love Is In The Air Card

A card with a gnome flying with a balloon
My Love Is In The Air Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Love Is In The Air Card as my Design Team Inspiration for Conie Fong Art & Design using the Gnome With Balloon and Sentiment Bundle. If you need a fast Valentine card, then this is it!

I had great fun colouring this cutie for a birthday card (link) that I thought he would make a fun Valentine card with his heart balloon! He comes with 9 stamps including a choice of heart balloon or round balloon, with or without grass and 5 sentiments that consist of Hello Love, Love Is In The Air (2 different styles), Happy Valentine’s Day and Heart Full Of Love in JPG. You can also get him in PNG.

Details of My Card

I decided that I wanted to use the Glorious Sky Slimline Paper for my background, but I die cut it down to fit a Mini Slimline card instead. This paper is awesome in that it completes the scene with minimal fuss. All I had to do was add my die cut sentiment with some Valentine flags and my coloured image which I popped onto an Action Wobble. What is more fun than an interactive card and this one is super cute!

Will You Be My Valentine Viking?

Valentine card with a Viking on it
Will You Be My Valentine Viking?

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Will You Be My Valentine Viking? for my Design Team Inspiration for Paper Nest Dolls. Can you see a theme this week in my Valentine cards for my Hubby? Lol! He loves history especially Vikings! So, I used Viking Andrew with mustache ties from the Viking Bundle. This bundle has three characters and two animals – Viking Andrew (with and without the mustache ties), Viking Owen, Viking Dragon, and Viking Boar. I have created several Viking cards over the years and will include links to them at the end of this post as well.

The Details of my Card

I had so much fun colouring with my Copic markers this brawny guy in appropriate Viking colours! His colouring even matches another card called My Let’s Go A-Viking Card that I made for Paper Nest Dolls for their New Year’s Day Event. Wouldn’t these two make a perfect pair!

A card with a Viking on it.
My Let’s Go a Viking Card

For my card, I found some neat digital paper with Viking watercolour images that suited my theme. The Viking ships in the bottom panel were from an invitation in the digital package, and I just cropped it to include only the ships. I then had a choice of which ship to highlight and went with the red/white sail one to match my reds.

Since this is for my Hubby, I kept the embellishments minimal with several die-cut hearts for my Valentine theme and a scattering of red rhinestones. I love how the Viking chipboard accents highlight the fun sentiment that I punch out with heart punches.

As You Wish Card

My As You Wish Card
My As You Wish Card

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here to share my As You Wish Card using the Twoo Luv Stamp Set by Kindred Stamps! Princess Bride is one of my favourite movies ever! So, when I saw Kindred Stamps has this stamp set, I couldn’t resist buying it!

This is another super-fast card to make since the stamps colour up so quickly and the background paper is from the Enchanted Forest Paper Pack by Whimsy Stamps. I used my Copic markers to colour my characters to match the characters in the movie. I thought this slimline paper was perfect to represent the ‘Fire Swamp’ in the movie where Westley and Buttercup meet the R.O.U.S.’s (Rodents of Unusual Size)! The only other thing that needed to be added was the sentiment which I embossed in white on black cardstock. Easy-peasy!

You Slay Me Valentine Card

My You Slay Me Valentine Card
My You Slay Me Valentine Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Now that Valentine’s Day is over, I can share with you my You Slay Me Valentine Card that I gave to my Hubby. My Hubby loves anything that involves history and Vikings. He even has a Viking costume including a sword with scabbard for Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) events and Halloween. In addition to that, we are currently re-watching the Vikings TV Series. When I saw that Stamp Anniething’s January release was Vikings, I just had to get the whole release! There are three Vikings in it. I used two of them on this card and the third is on another card that I will share later.

Details of My Card

I coloured both of these cuties with my Copic markers in the colours of the main characters in the Vikings TV Series…all blonde hair and natural tones, other than Siv’s skirt to tie in my red hearts that I wanted to use. Gale comes with a number of different weapons that you can swap out depending on what you want. I went with the axe and added Glossy Accents to the metal part to make it look like polished steel. I created my two-tone shield with a number of circle dies of varying width. My Hubby informed me that Vikings preferred coloured shields when I was colouring Torin below.

My Colouring of Torin, The Third Viking in the Release

I love the sentiment “You slay me” that comes with Gale. Perfect pun for my Hubby’s Valentine card! It fitted nicely on the tag that I cut out of the matching paper. I added some twine and a die cut heart to add some visual interest to it. Some hearts and a couple of red rhinestones add a bit of pop in colour to my card.

My note to my Hubby said that I will be his Lagertha to his Ragnar always!

My Penguin Love Valentine Card

My Penguin Love Valentine Card

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s Laurie here! I am so excited to be joining Conie Fong Art & Design as a Guest Design Team Member again for February with my My Penguin Love Valentine Card! For my February GDT card, I am using 2 different stamps. The top penguin is called Penguin Heartstrings bottom penguin is called Penguin Bundle of Love. Aren’t they just the cutest!

Close Up of Penguin Heartstrings

I coloured both of these stamps with my Copic markers in the traditional Valentine colours of pink and red. I then, decided that I wanted both of them on the same card. So, I went with a slimline card with lots of hearts for Valentine’s Day! For the sentiment, I used markers to colour just the part of the stamp that I wanted and then “huffed” (technical term lol) on it to activate the ink. For a bit of sparkle, I added glossy accents to the penguins’ beaks, feet and the heart that the Penguin Bundle of Love is holding. I also added Star Dust Stickles to the heartstrings of the other penguin. One final touch is a scattering of Red Rhinestones.
