Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! Happy Valentine’s Day! I am sharing My Puppy Valentine Card using Puppy Love Stamp Set by Kindred Stamps that I used for my Hubby’s Valentine card! We love Disney and the Lady and the Tramp movie is a favourite of ours! So, when I saw this stamp set, I knew I would use it for his card.
The Details of My Puppy Valentine Card
For my card, I decided to make a mini slimline card to match my Falling Hearts Etched Metal Die by Photo Play. So, I used the Flirty Flamingo hearts paper from the Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! with this die. This DSP is free during Sale-a-Bration 2024 and is perfect for those Valentine cards with its hearts and gold accents! I also used a solid Real Red plaid piece from this DSP as a base peeking through the hearts and extended it beyond the die cut Falling Hearts to create a mat.
Since I had the Candy Hearts Dies out already out from my other cards, I decided to use them again! Two hearts were clustered around the sentiment from Conie Fong Art & Design and the other two hearts with a heart doily above the puppies.
The only embellishments that I added were some Red Rhinestones scattered to add sparkle.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Will You Be My Gnomie? as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Gnome Couple. You can also draw the Boy Gnome using the video on the Draw with Conie YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/HZtUnru5-VM?si=nE7dFjqjFEtH9im7. For my card, I thought I would create a fun Valentine Shaker card using these cuties! So, I coloured them with my Copic markers in Valentine colours and cut them out with my Brother Scan & Cut.
The Radiant Heart Backdrop Die was perfect for my shaker part, but I need to make the card larger to fit my gnomes and the shaker. So, I made my card 6” x 6”and placed the shaker element at the top with my gnomes on either side of it.
For the shaker, I used the Stampin’ Up! Foam Adhesive Strips around the heart and again around the perimeter of the rectangle to create two shaker parts. This allowed the sequins to look like they are loose throughout but kept a nice selection visible in the heart at all times. The “Love” heart shaker elements and sequins were perfect colours to match my colour scheme. Some die cut candy hearts and a heart garland decorated my shaker element.
The sentiment was from Sassy’s Cards & Gifts. She gives out downloadable sentiments each month for free and this one was from the recent video! I was visiting my friend while putting this card together and she let me try out her Mini Minc Machine to red foil the sentiment. Love the shine! I need one of these! Lol!
To add sparkle, I used a scattering of red rhinestones and Star Dust Stickles on gnomes’ pompoms, the boy’s heart, and the girl’s flower.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Kitty Love Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the New Release Kitty Love with the Snow Globe Bundle!
The Details of My Kitty Love Card
For my card, I decided to combine the Snow Globe Bundle with the Kitty Love stamp since the kitty fits so perfectly in the snow globe! I used Microsoft Word to size and insert the kitty into the globe. In addition, I used Word to add Happy Valentine’s Day to the plaque on the base.
I haven’t coloured a snow globe before and wanted to challenge myself. So, I used the 3.0 Mini Class Bundle from Kit and Clowder as a reference and used my Copic markers to colour the image. It was a lot of fun getting the shine on the glass! Once it was coloured, I added Glossy Accents to the plaque on the globe base and Stickles to all the hearts.
I decided to use the French Kiss Doodlebug Paper since it had hearts, envelopes, and happy mail on it. Perfect for my card! To ground the snow globe, I used a solid piece of red paper that was already embossed with hearts to add to my Valentine theme.
Next, I added some die cut hearts in opposite corners for balance. A die cut glassine envelope with die cut hearts inside and an adhesive-backed heart to seal it was added to mirror the letters in the mailbox.
For embellishments, I used a piece of white lace trim and white resin hearts.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Lavender Fields Card using the Hills of Tuscany Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! It was my birthday recently and I always create a card for myself!
The Details of My Lavender Fields Card
So, for my birthday card, I decided to create one that reminded me of our trip to Provence in France with the beautiful lavender fields. When I saw the Hills of Tuscany Stamp Set, I realized I could change the colours of the hills and voilà, Provence! Plus, the Painted Lavender Dies and Perennial Lavender 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper were perfect for my lavender fields card!
First, I stamped the largest field in Highland Heather followed by Gorgeous Grape to add interest and have it look like lavender. Next, I stamped a Shaded Spruce hill where I planned to place the house and trees. For the house, I used Crumb Cake for the walls and Copper Clay for the roof since we saw houses with those colours in France. Cypress trees, like the ones on the stamp, were also found all over Provence. So, I stamped them in Shaded Spruce to match the grasses. Finally, I stamped in Balmy Blue the sky twice to fill the space.
Next, using the Deckled Rectangles Dies, I die cut my scene and a Gorgeous Grape matt. For my card, I decided to frame my Provencal scene using the largest Radiating Stitches Dies in Crumb Cake almost like a picture hanging on a wall. Lol!
To complete my Provencal theme, I die cut a bouquet of lavender from Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape which was tied with Linen Thread and layered it on a DSP circle die cut from the Radiating Stitches Dies. The sentiment from the Something Fancy Stamp Set was stamped in Gorgeous Grape and die cut out using a Something Fancy Die. I layered two strips of DSP on the left side of the Basic White card base to balance the sentiment cluster.
The finishing touch was a scattering of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems that match my colour scheme.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Season to be Freezin’ Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Yeti with Tree. Paper Nest Dolls has several Yeti stamps to the point you could have a whole Yeti family! I just love these cuties so much that I made another card with the Yeti Father and Son for Christmas and have included a link at the end of this post to it.
The Details of My Season to beFreezin’ Card
For my Yeti, I had coloured him with my Copic markers before Christmas but didn’t get a chance to get him onto a card. So, I decided to create a winter themed card for him. I coloured his fur texture with individual strokes in the shadows and left the highlights white. The tree was also coloured with individual strokes to create lots of texture.
The Doodlebug paper that I used, had Yetis on it, but I went with more neutral papers to create my wintery scene. The sentiment was from the matching Chit Chat and was perfect for my wintery theme.
Next, I added a birch tree die cut for my wintery scene and, to add interest, I used a Stitched Hillside Die to complete my scene.
For embellishments, I used some wooden snowflakes that I had in my stash for that rustic look.
Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Happy 2024 Calendars using the Bee My Valentine Bundle and the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! I didn’t get done my Christmas cards this year due to catching Covid. So instead, I decided to send out calendars to some of my customers in the new year.
The Details of My Happy 2024 Calendars
For my calendars, I decided to create two different calendars with the same design but using different products. I couldn’t resist using the beautiful Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper which is a Sale-a-bration freebie if you spend $60.00 CDN on qualifying orders. And don’t you just love those cute bees from the Bee My Valentine Bundle!
Bee Calendars
Since I planned to mail these out, the Sending Dies was perfect way to send “smiles across the miles”! To add some interest to the Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam card stocks behind my focal point, I did some tone-on-tone stamping. For the Pool Party one, I stamped a couple of times the bee trail in Pool Party. For the Soft Sea Foam, I stamped the leaves from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle twice in Soft Sea Foam. This bundle is also free with a $120 CDN on qualifying orders during Sale-a-bration.
Bird Calendars
The bee was stamped and punched out with the matching builder punch. The birds were fussy cut from the Flight & Airy DSP. I used different birds for each calendar since there was such a selection from which to choose.
Two of the Bird Calendars
Next, I used the Adhesive-Backed Hearts & Flowers and Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds for embellishments. I also used a pearl for the “i” in “Sending”.
Close Up of Focal Point with Bird
The final thing was to use the technique where you press the ink pad lid when closed to get some ink. I did this with the Pool Party ink pad and picked it up with my Wink of Stella. This gave the bee wings a nice sparkle!

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Warmest Winter Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the Baby Seals On Iceberg from her drawing tutorial on You Tube. Conie Fong has started a Draw with Conie YouTube channel where you can draw along with her: https://www.youtube.com/@DrawWithConie. Don’t forget to subscribe to her channel while you are there for more tutorials that come out each week!
For my card, I kept my card design simple in line with the simple drawing of the seals. The seals were coloured with very few Copic markers leaving a lot of uncoloured white space. Really, I just coloured the shadows for them and the ice flow and used my Colorless Blender to soften the edges of the colour to the white.
I had the perfect Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! to create a mini slimline card for these cuties! It had a winter artic scene with icebergs and ice flow, but it had polar bears on it! So, I strategically cut my DSP so that the bears would be hidden by the placement of my seals. Lol!
Next, I used a white mini slimline scallop die cut to frame my scene having it pop from all the blues. This also gave a support for my seals so that it looked like the seals are floating out of the scene.
The sentiment was stamped on white, and die cut with a stitched flag die. Again, I liked how it popped against the dark blue sky. The final touch was a few wooden stars that I had in my stash.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! Season’s Greetings! One last Christmas card for me! I am sharing My Classic Greetings Card using the Christmas Classics Bundle by Stampin’ Up! which includes the Christmas Classics Stamp Set and the Christmas Classics Dies.
The Details of My Classic Greetings Card
For my card, I decided to create a music theme with the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper, the Merry Melody Embossing Folder, and the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins. Since I used the gold music notes for my embellishments, I went with the gold Simply Elegant Trim and gold embossing for the sentiment to match.
I love the holly dies that come in the Bundle and wanted to make them the focal point with the DSP die cut with the Nested Essentials Dies layered behind it. I was so happy with how all these elements came together!
Season’s Greetings, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Feliz Navidad, Joyeux Noël, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Yuletide Greetings! However, you say it, I hope your holiday season is full of good cheer!

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Beary Christmas Cards using the Beary Cute Bundle by Stampin’ Up! which includes the Beary Cute Stamp Set and coordinating Beary Cute Punch. This bundle is retiring. So, make sure you get it before it’s too late!
The Details of My Beary Christmas Cards
For my cards, I decided to make a floating element using one of the scenes from the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper. I had so much fun that I created two different cards with the same elements. For one, I used Misty Moonlight and the other, Balmy Blue card stock bases. A floating element uses acetate or window sheet on which you adhere strips of DSP leaving gaps between the pieces. Then you use dimensionals under the DSP to make it look like the element is floating.
The scene strips were cut at ½” width and lined up in order on my window sheet for placement before adhering them down. I started with the two end pieces and then the centre ones working out to the ends. Tip: use grid paper for an even gap between pieces. Since the DSP was ½ wide, it allowed me to place my dimensionals behind the paper. Thus, hiding them to complete my floating element.
Misty Moonlight Card
I made the Misty Moonlight card portrait and used the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut my square once I had adhered the 5 DSP scene pieces to the Window Sheet.
Misty Moonlight Card
I stamped snowflakes in Misty Moonlight for a tone-on-tone around my central focal point.
The sentiment was white embossed on some Real Red card stock and then fussy cut with my Paper Snips.
The polar bear was stamped in Misty Moonlight and Real Red for his scarf before it was punched out.
Balmy Blue Card
For my Balmy Blue card, I decided that I wanted to use more of the DSP. So, I made the floating element larger with 6 pieces of DSP and wider gaps. I stamped the Balmy Blue snowflakes at an angle through the centre of the card. This allowed the snowflakes to show through the Window Sheet!
Balmy Blue Card
The sentiment was stamped in Real Red and snipped on an angle with my Paper Snips.
For both cards, I used the white snowflakes from the Adhesive-Backed Snowflake Assortment as my embellishments.
Supplies:
Stamps/Bundles/Dies: Beary Cute Bundle (162023), Stylish Shapes Dies (159183)

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Cup of Cheer Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the digital stamp called Emma in Reindeer PJ’s.
The Details of My Cup of Cheer Card
I had so much fun colouring Emma in her cute PJs with my Copic markers to match my non-traditional paper choice! For my card, I thought the Christmas cookie paper would be perfect since cookies and hot chocolate are a great combination, especially gingerbread! Yum! The pretty plaid pattern paper really brought out the non-traditional colours of my card.
Isn’t that die cut mug just the cutest! For the mug, I knew I wanted to use the snowflake tag and found that the die just fit it. To add some dimension to my mug, I blended some Pool Party ink along the edges. I also blended some Pink Pirouette Ink along the edges of the heart. I thought it would be fun to add whipped cream and a candy cane just like Emma’s. The spoon was die cut from some metallic paper that I had. Of course, if you have hot chocolate, you need marshmallows! Lol!
Since there was a lot going on the card already, I went with a simple die cut sentiment with a few red rhinestones to match my candy cane.
Finally, I used Glossy Accents on Emma’s candy cane, Stardust Stickles on the reindeers’ noses and Wink of Stella on Emma’s and the mug’s whipped cream.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Yeti for the Holidays? as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Yeti Father and Son. I just love these cuties. There is a Yeti Mom and Baby that you could add to this card for the whole family! Lol!
The Details of My Yeti for the Holidays?
I had a lot of fun colouring these two with my Copic markers! I decided to create a fur texture with individual strokes in the shadows and left the highlights white. The tree was also coloured with individual strokes to create texture. The Father Yeti’s tie pulled together my colour scheme of red and green.
For my card, I wanted to use the Whimsy paper with these cuties. This paper is perfect for those wintery scenes! In fact, I used it for another card that I made a few years ago and will post it at the end.
So, I created a slimline card using the Dotted Slimline Dies by Studio Katia. I used all three dies that came in the set to create my card. I thought it would be fun having the yetis stepping out of the wintery scene with their Christmas tree.
To complete my wintery scene and to add interest, I used a Stitched Hillside Die to add an extra layer to the scene. I made sure that my “snowbank” did not cover up the snow-covered trees on the background.
Next, I typed and printed my sentiment out on my computer. There are so many great sentiments out there that it was hard to pick one! Lol! The sentiment was die cut out with another stitched die.
For embellishments, I used some wooden snowflakes that I had in my stash for that rustic look and a scattering of red rhinestones to add sparkle.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Celebrate the Season Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the digital stamp called Emma in Christmas Sweater.
Details of My Celebrate the Season Card
For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card using the Pink Fresh scallop die. What is so nice about this die is that it cuts two scallop rectangles at once. I used both scallop rectangles with one in pink and one in red to match my colour scheme.
I love Mintay Papers, and the Merry Little Christmas paper is gorgeous! So, I decided to use it for my colour scheme of red and pink with white accents. I coloured Emma with my Copic markers to match my colour scheme. Don’t you just love her snowman sweater! In fact, I have coloured this stamp before. I will include a link at the end of this post to the other card that I made using her.
For the sentiment cluster, I used a silver snowflake to add some sparkle, a fussy cut candy cane from the Mintay paper and a die cut sentiment.
Next, I used Glossy Accents on the candy cane and Stardust Stickles on the trim of the hats and boots. The only thing left was to add a few red rhinestones for a bit more sparkle.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Crackin’ Holidays Panel Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the New Release Christmas Nutcracker Ensemble Bundle. This purchase includes 4 Images:
Image 1: Christmas Nutcracker Ensemble, PNG format
Image 2. Nutcracker Drummer, PNG format
Image 3. Nutcracker King, PNG format
Image 4. Nutcracker Soldier, PNG format
The Details of My Crackin’ Holidays Panel Card
For my card, I wanted to create a Nutcracker Ballet themed panel card that when closed, you see just the Soldier and Drummer and then you open it to see the King. So, I used the individual nutcrackers in the stamp set and coloured them in traditional colours with my Copic markers.
Front of Card with Soldier and Drummer Nutcrackers
For the panel card base, I used a premade card blank from Hunkydory, but you could easily create one yourself. I used a pencil and traced the edges of the card base onto the music DSP and then used my Paper Snips to cut it out. The music DSP was perfect to represent the March of the Nutcrackers music from The Nutcracker Ballet. Next, I brushed Vintage Photo onto the DSP. This was two-fold…one to cover where my cutting was not perfect and the other to add a finished edge to the base.
King Nutcracker
To highlight the nutcrackers in each of their panels, I layered each with a plaid piece of DSP that matched my colouring and a Real Red mat that I die cut out with the Mini Slimline Stackables from Lawn Fawn. For the smaller panels, I used nutcracker DSP with Real Red mats and a pair of glimmery ballet slippers to match my theme.
For embellishments, I added some distressed gold die cut garlands and ribbons at the top of each nutcracker panel. I also added some red rhinestones to add some sparkle, in addition, to the Clear Wink of Stella on all the gold trim of the nutcrackers.
Card Front with Belly Band
To keep my card closed, I created a 1 ½” belly band of DSP and Real Red card stock with an ornament sticker from my stash.
Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Home for the Holidays Alternatives using the Home for the Holidays Paper October 2023 Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! When I saw this kit, I knew that I wanted to make some alternative cards! In fact, I had so much fun that I made 5 of them! Lol! I went into detail for two of them and have posted the others along with a downloadable Faux-Step Template at the end of this post.
The Details of My Home for the Holidays Alternatives
For my cards, I thought a faux-step card would be perfect way to use the detailed pre-cut village scenes! Plus, it allowed me to move the faux step to where I thought it worked best on each card!
So, I cut one of the card bases from the Paper Pumpkin Kit creating a 3” piece and a 2 ½” piece. Thus, allowing me to make two cards from this one card base! Next, I used my Paper Trimmer to cut a Thick Basic White and a Night of Navy card bases using the template at the end of this post for measurements.
Basic White Alternative Card
For the Basic White card, I used the back of an envelope from the Warm Wishes Cards & Envelopes to cut a piece of the red diagonal stripes for behind my scene. I love how it makes the scene pop! Next, I placed the faux step in the centre since you can see the trees on it through the village.

The rest of the card was built according to the placement in the instructions. I just made sure that the dimensionals for the village were on the narrow band at the bottom and my sentiment was attached to the faux step.

Night of Navy Alternative Card
For my Night of Navy card, I used one of the cards from the 5” x 7” Warm Wishes Cards & Envelopes. I love that the night scene continues onto the back of the cards! This allowed me to cut a 5-3/8” piece of the night sky with the trees making sure that I did not include the moon in my piece (we did not need two moons on the final card! Lol!). However, this left a scored line on my final card. So, to cover the score line, I placed the faux step to the right. It also helped to balance out the smaller pre-cut village that I used.
In addition to this, I added a strip of snow from my cut-up Warm Wishes Card on the final card base under my village.
Night of Navy Alternative Card
Since the smaller pre-cut village ended short on my card, I decided to place the glittery strip and stamped sentiment to the left covering the void. I used my paper snips to trim them down.

The final thing was to add the glitter glue that came in the Kit to the snowy villages for both cards.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here to share my It’s Showtime Birthday Card using the Showtime Stamp Set by Kindred Stamps! It was my Hubby’s birthday this past weekend and this is the fun pop-up card that I made him!
The Details of My It’s Showtime Birthday Card
My hubby and I both grew up watching the Muppets and when I saw this stamp set, I knew he would get a kick out of it, especially the grumpy old men! They were always his favourite!
For my card, I decided to create a stage on the front with the Cast & Crew wishing him a Happy Birthday and then a fun pop up of the theatre box on the inside.
But first, I coloured all the characters with my Copic markers and cut them out. Once that was done, I built my stage. Since I didn’t have curtain dies, I used the Platform Pop-Up Hillside Inserts Dies to create one. They fit together perfectly for my curtains! I added a floor to the stage with some wood grain DSP.
The text for the word bubbles was created on my computer, printed out and die cut with the Conversations Bubbles dies.
Inside of Card showing Theatre Pop-up Box
For the inside of my card, I used the Platform Pop-Up and Add-On dies to create my theatre box that the grumpy old men sit in it on the show. I had to trim their legs off to make them fit. Lol! I couldn’t resist adding Animal to the inside as well since he is another favourite of my Hubby, and I can see him climbing the box with his crazy antics! Lol!
Since the card was so bulky already, the only embellishments I added were a scattering of gold sequins.
