Details of My Pumpkin Patch Card
For my card, I coloured with my Copic Markers my sweet Gnome in Autumnal colours to match the DSP. This DSP is perfect with those fall colours. I decided to go with a scene with the beautiful trees in all their colourful splendor! I even added some die cut leaves to match the colours in the DSP.
For my gnome, I added a die cut circle as a backdrop for him. Next, I added the stamped sentiment on a flag. I added another flag behind the die cut word “pumpkin” to make the word stand out. I thought it a fun touch to add “pumpkin” since he was picking out a pumpkin and would pick it “over and over again” just like the sentiment said!
The finishing touch was a couple of enamel dots that matched my colour scheme.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Autumn Wishes Alternative Cards using the Autumn Abundance September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit by Stampin’ Up! Since this weekend is our Canadian Thanksgiving, I decided to create two alternative cards for the holiday!
But, first, here are the three cards that the kit makes. Perfect for this time of year!
The Details of My Autumn Wishes Alternative Cards
My Hey Pumpkin Card
For my first alternative card, I decided to do some colouring with my Stampin’ Blends using the girl with the pumpkins from the Warms My Heart Stamp Set. I thought she would suit my autumnal theme very well!
I used the front half of the smaller leaves card to create a focal point for my girl. To separate her from the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder that I used for the Wild Wheat background, I added a Cajun Craze die cut circle using the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
Next, I added the bronze foil leaf in the kit and two more leaves for which I used the add-on Every Celebration Dies. For embellishments, I added three Faux Glass Dots that matched my colour scheme.
Measurements:
Basic White Card Base:
8 ½” x 4 ¼”
3” x 2 ¼” (to stamp girl)
Wild Wheat:

My Triple Panel Card
For my second alternative card using the Autumn Abundance September 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit, I made a triple panel card.
Since I had leftover the back of the smaller card, I used it for the front of this card. For the front panel, I die cut a Poppy Parade circle using the Spotlight on Nature Dies to layer behind my sentiment. I added some Linen Thread tied into a bow for my embellishment.
I made the Cajun Craze mat a little longer and scored it to create a tab that I tucked in behind the log DSP.
For the middle panel, I used the front of the log card base and then added a sentiment with stamped off leaves in Cajun Craze, Wild Wheat and Poppy Parade.
Since I planned to send this card to my family for Thanksgiving, I wanted the final panel to say, “Happy Thanksgiving” and the sentiments from The Gift of Fall August 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit were perfect for my card! They were stamped in Cajun Craze and Poppy Parade. One final leaf was stamped in Wild Wheat beside the sentiment.
Measurements:
Cajun Craze:
8 ½” x 4 ¼”
4 ¼” x 6” with score mark at 4 ¼” (tuck tab behind log DSP)

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Pumpkin Patch Card using the new release Pumpkin Emily by Conie Fong Art & Design as my Design Team Inspiration Card. Doesn’t she make the most perfect autumnal card, but she could also be used for Halloween or Thanksgiving!
The Details of My Pumpkin Patch Card
For my card, I decided to create an autumnal card with fall like colours with a pumpkin patch theme since she is picking out her pumpkin. I had so much fun colouring Pumpkin Emily with my Copic Markers in oranges, blue/greens and blacks to match my paper. Once she was coloured, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the ribbon on her hat. For the cat, I decided to make it a tabby cat, but it could also be a black cat for Halloween. I used my black 0.3 Copic multi liner to add the stripes after I had coloured it with my Copic markers.
Next, I die cut her out with a 4” stitched circle die and placed a number of die cut leaves and a pumpkin in one corner to match my theme. The “Hello Pumpkin” sentiment was a sticker that came in the Carta Bella Welcome Fall Kit. In the other corner, I used another sticker of a Pumpkin Patch sign. Perfect for my Pumpkin Patch theme! The leaves falling around her were also from the same sticker set.
Finally, the finishing touch was a scattering of Enamel Dots that matched my colour scheme.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Hello Fall Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using Sweet Autumn Kitty. This stamp is the quintessential Fall stamp with the pumpkin, fall leaves, acorns, a witch hat, and cat!
The Details of My Card
For my mini slimline card, I used this beautiful paper by P13 called The Four Seasons – Autumn and decided to colour the stamp to match. I couldn’t resist giving the leaves a fall colour using several Copic markers to get the variations in their colour. I have discovered that I love colouring pumpkins and getting such rich colour depth in them! The hat was coloured in a blue/violet tone to match some of the smaller berries on the paper and to give it an unexpected pop of colour. I went with a black cat since all witches should have a black cat! Lol!
Since the paper had a rustic feel to it, I blended some Walnut Stain to all the edges of the papers including the stamped piece. To add to the rustic charm, I added a frayed natural ribbon beneath my focal point. The sentiment is from an ephemera tag pack and summed up my theme perfectly! The metal leaf embellishment tied with linen thread, as well as the pumpkin chipboard, added to the Fall theme.
To further tie in my colour scheme, I coloured some rhinestones with my Copic markers and added them to opposite corners.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Back-To-School Mini Slimline Card using the digital stampSchool Girl Avery by Paper Nest Dolls as my Design Team Inspiration Card.
The Details of My Card
I can’t believe that it’s September and the kiddos are back in school! Where did the summer go??
I had fun colouring Avery with my favourite product, my Copic markers, to match my Doodlebug paper! Look at those gorgeous curls! They were a blast to colour in a strawberry blond! I decided to give her a “Mad Men” look with black glasses, but the red and green make her look like the schoolgirl she is.
The Photo Play Notebook die was a recent purchase, and I knew it would be perfect for my mini slimline card! I couldn’t resist using the practice letters paper from Doodlebug. Who else remembers practicing their letters in school? The die cut flags in various Doodlebug paper were from the Photo Play Die set.
The circle tag with the apple was something I picked up a long time ago and thought it suited my theme. Of course, I had to thread some linen thread through the hole and tied it with a bow! I strategically placed the tag so that an apple on the flag beneath shows through the die cut apple on the tag.
Don’t you just love the shaker apple! It’s a sticker from Michael’s that I had in my stash waiting for a back-to-school card. The stars are Doodlebug Sprinkles that tied in my colour scheme.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Happy Thanksgiving Card using several dies, including Tailor Made Tags Dies, Giving Gifts Dies, Picture This Dies and Word Wishes Dies to create my festive card.
For my card, I wanted to create a very Autumnal card for this time of year. So, I pulled out Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Old Olive to create my Fall wonderland card. I stamped each leaf off before stamping it onto my tag. I wanted a subtle background for my die cut word and leaves. The HAPPY was white embossed onto a scrap of Cherry Cobbler and layered onto a pile of leaves. I added to the tag, the Gingham Ribbon, and the Linen Twine which I frayed to create a rustic look.
The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper has the perfect Fall paper in it that was destined for my card. I thought that the Picture This Dies would be a great way to have this DSP poking out. A scattering of die cut leaves and rhinestones make this card feel like there is movement to the falling leaves.

Welcome Fall! Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I was honoured to have been asked to present my colouring using Stampin’ Blends at a playdate this past weekend for fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. So, I thought I would share my card and first YouTube video with you on the First Day of Fall. For My Welcome Fall Card, I used the Right Behind You Stamp Set and a ton of Stampin’ Blends including the Color Lifter which I used a lot in this video!
I mentioned another video and notes in my presentation. I have included those notes and several videos from that presentation at the end of this post for your reference.
For my card, I stamp multiple times the girls riding the bicycle in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on my Stamparatus to get a good coverage of ink on their pants. Next, I lightly drew in as a guide a simple scene with a sidewalk, a tree, some hills, and clouds. Once I did that, I started my colouring. Here is my very first YouTube video so that you can follow along:

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Pumkin’ Spice Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using the new release Fall Emma. I love this time of year with the cooler weather and the turning of the leaves!
Details of My Card
I coloured Emma with my Copic Markers in Autumnal colours with rich oranges and greens. I love her little latte cup and, of course, it needed to be a Pumkin’ Spiced Latte. Not pumpkin, but pumkin’ since that is the way I say it! Lol!
For my card, I had perfect Fall paper for it which even came with tags that matched my theme! I decided to layer a die cut pumpkin and a faux wooden leaf tag behind the pumpkin spice tag. I threaded the twine from the leaf tag through the other tag to tie it all together.
Don’t you just love the latte cup peeking out from behind the central image! I used the matching paper to die cut it out and added an orange heart for pumkin spice like in the coloured stamp. I layered behind the central image a “wooden” fence that was die cut out of paper that looked like wood. A die cut leaf and a couple of Pumpkin Pie rhinestones tie in my Fall theme.

I was so honoured to be asked by this group to be a Guest Designer for their YR (Yellow/Red) Copic Challenge for October. This combination screams pumpkins to me and since I haven’t coloured a Krista Smith image in a while, I thought Pretty Pumpkin would be perfect for my card! Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here with my Hello Fall Design Team Card for Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios using her sweet Fall Dance Digital Stamp. With the last long weekend having just passed and children starting back to school, Autumn is just around the corner in Canada. I love the cooler temperatures and the changing colour of the leaves! Such a beautiful time of year! Bet you can guess that it’s my favourite season of the year!
For my card, I used autumnal colours of reds, greens, oranges, yellows and browns that I pulled from the pattern paper. The die cut and embossed leaves match the colours in the scene that I created perfectly! One technique that I used for the fallen leaves is to use the side of my Copic marker to create their shape. It’s amazing how much they look like leaves when you do this, but it’s such an easy technique! I learned this technique from the March 2020 Marker Class “Mourning Fairy” with Sweet Sentiment. I love the wooden picket fence peeking out from behind the focal point! A couple of embellishment including the wooden banner element and the Linen Thread holding the pinecone all tie together the Autumn theme of my card.

For Technique Tuesday, I am sharing the Tip to Tip Blending Technique for my Let’s Gather Together Card using the Gather Together Bundle by Stampin’ Up! I love Fall and all the colours of the leaves that it brings! So, I thought the Tip to Tip would be perfect to showcase those colours! For my card, I create a frame using a Stitched Rectangle and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper with the leaves “exploding” out of it. I used the Woodlands Embossing Folder as my base behind all the leaves “falling” from the trees. To tie in the Daffodil Delight colour, I used a strip of the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper and one of the leaves die cut and embossed. A strip of Copper Foil Paper and a scattering of Holiday Rhinestones Basic Jewels add a bit of shimmer to my card.
For part 4 of my colouring videos with Stampin’ Blends from my presentation, I am demonstrating the Tip to Tip Blending Technique. The other 3 parts are listed below at the end of this document.
Tip to Tip Blending Technique
To combine two different coloured blends on an image, try the Tip to Tip Blending Technique. This gives you a smooth transition of colors and doesn’t end up looking all blotchy where the colors meet. I’ve chosen Calypso Coral and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends for my first leaf.
Stamp the image with Memento Ink.
Apply the Light Calypso Coral and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to the image. Meet somewhere in the middle with the colors – it doesn’t have to be neat.
With the Dark Calypso Coral and Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, add a layer of color around the edge of the image.
Brush the tip of the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends over the tip of the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to pick up some color. The Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends marker then acts as your brush to apply a mix of both colors to the center of the leaf. I kept working these blends together until I was happy with the transition where the colors meet.
To demonstrate that this Tip to Tip Technique can work with other colors, I’ve created leaves using Old Olive with Soft Suede and Daffodil Delight with Cherry Cobbler. Don’t worry about your markers being contaminated—all you need to do is run them over some scrap paper a few times and the nibs will clean themselves.

I am happy to share my Country Harvest Card that is using my colouring techniques that I recently presented to fellow demonstrators. For my card, I knew I wanted to use an oldie, but a goodie, the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder! The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper has a photographic image of tiles that I thought would tie in nicely with the embossing folder and the country theme of my card. To further the country theme, I used the Denim Ribbon to transition between the DSP and the Brass Foil piece. I used the Brass Foil as an accent, but you could use one of the new Brushed Metallic Cardstock instead. To finish the card, I used two Antiqued Corners to set off the coloured image.
For Part 2 of my colouring with Stampin’ Blends from my presentation, I am showing the difference between colouring light to dark versus dark to light. For this demonstration, I used the jug from the Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set. Some people prefer adding ink from light to dark creating a saturation of ink for easy blending. Others prefer to add ink from dark to light creating a lighter coloured image since you use less ink. The two most common ways to add ink are circling and flicking. Each technique produces a particular appearance and knowing how to use them will add depth and variation to your projects.
