Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Welcome Little One Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Paper Nest Dolls using Averywith Bird Nest. We discovered a bird nest with some robin eggs on one of our outdoor lights. So, I couldn’t resist creating a card around this miracle! I even used a photo of the eggs in the nest on my card!
The Details of My Welcome Little One Card
For my card, I decided to colour with my Copic markers Avery in similar colours to the eggs and nest but went with a bright red hair for all those gorgeous curls!
Next, I die cut the printed photo with a stitched circle die. I used this same die for all three layers of my “nest” so they would line up when layered. The top two offset layers consisted of leaves in two different greens to add dimension. I also added a few sprigs of leaves emanating from my nest.
I used the border leaf die on the darker DSP behind Avery to tie in my theme and make her stand out from the other DSP.
The sentiment was stamped in Balmy Blue, and one end was cut at an angle with my Paper Snips.
Finally, for embellishments, I added three birds from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds for a bit of sparkle.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Warmest Winter Wishes Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the Baby Seals On Iceberg from her drawing tutorial on You Tube. Conie Fong has started a Draw with Conie YouTube channel where you can draw along with her: https://www.youtube.com/@DrawWithConie. Don’t forget to subscribe to her channel while you are there for more tutorials that come out each week!
For my card, I kept my card design simple in line with the simple drawing of the seals. The seals were coloured with very few Copic markers leaving a lot of uncoloured white space. Really, I just coloured the shadows for them and the ice flow and used my Colorless Blender to soften the edges of the colour to the white.
I had the perfect Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! to create a mini slimline card for these cuties! It had a winter artic scene with icebergs and ice flow, but it had polar bears on it! So, I strategically cut my DSP so that the bears would be hidden by the placement of my seals. Lol!
Next, I used a white mini slimline scallop die cut to frame my scene having it pop from all the blues. This also gave a support for my seals so that it looked like the seals are floating out of the scene.
The sentiment was stamped on white, and die cut with a stitched flag die. Again, I liked how it popped against the dark blue sky. The final touch was a few wooden stars that I had in my stash.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing my Oh, Happy Day Cards using the Rain or Shine Suite Collection by Stampin’ Up! I created two shaker cards. One was for a swap of the Mini Catalogue and the other was a faux-shaker card. Same design, but with different ways to make a shaker card.
The Details of My Cards
I had a lot of fun colouring this cute rabbit with my Stampin’ Blends! I coloured him with two different coloured shirts depending on the card. Once I finished colouring him, I die cut him out. Even though the bunny is splashing in a puddle on the stamp, the die just cuts him out making him more versatile. So, I decided that since he is bouncing with happiness that I would have him flying a kite.
My Swap Card Details
For my swap card, I made a traditional shaker card and used the kite die for my shaker part. Those Daisy Embellishments are so cute and perfect for a shaker! I backed my shaker part with a little DSP to add some visual interest.
To get the placement of the kite, I placed my die cut bunny and DSP circle and the Balmy Blue where I wanted them and then positioned my kite die. Using a post-it note, I secured the DSP, and the kite die to the Balmy Blue and then ran it through my die cutting machine. Once that was done, I pulled part the pieces and embossed the Balmy Blue piece with the Into the Clouds Embossing Folder.
For the shaker part, I used a piece of window sheet that I adhered to the back of the Balmy Blue over the kite opening. Next, I used the foam adhesive strips and manipulated them around my kite. These strips are perfect for a shaker card and so easy to use!
Tip
Once the adhesive strip is down, rub the embossing buddy that comes in the Embossing Additions Tool Kit along the edges. This will help with static and keeps the shaker pieces from sticking to the adhesive.
Next, I added my shaker elements to the centre of the window sheet on the back. I removed the backing from the adhesive strip and secured the DSP over top. I added more strips to add dimension around the edges of the Balmy Blue so that the card would keep its shape. This part is adhered to the Old Olive card base.
Once that was done, it was just a matter of adhering all the elements in place. A Whisper White bow was added as the tail of the kite. A few daises were added to the sentiment and one beside the tree stump.
Faux Shaker Card Details
A faux shaker card is super easy to make and so fun! For my Faux Shaker Card, I embossed the Balmy Blue and adhered it to the Old Olive mat. Next, I adhered the DSP circle, the stump and one of the clouds to the Balmy Blue.
Taking a Medium clear envelope, I slid this piece into it. I added my daisy shaker elements to the front on the envelope and sealed it. Using liquid glue, I adhered the envelope to the Thick Basic White card base.
Next, I added the sentiment and the kite with liquid glue to the front on my card. The bunny and the remaining clouds are popped up. A few daisies were added to the sentiment. Easy peasy!

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Hello Little One Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using the sweet Goodnight Benji Bundle.

Title 1: Goodnight Benji
Title 2: I Love You To The Moon And Back V1 Sentiment
Title 3: Love You To The Moon And Back V2 Sentiment
Title 4: Sweet Dreams Sentiment
Title 5: Hello Little One Sentiment
The Details of My Card
For my card, I decided to create a mini slimline card with this cutie on it. I love how Benji is just hanging out sleeping on his cloud! I coloured him with my Copic markers as a boy, but you can make a girl card or even gender neutral. It’s always good to have a stash of baby cards!
The Pebbles paper that I used had clouds and star constellations in very soft muted colours. Perfect for a baby card!
I decided to use the same scallop mini slimline die for all my pieces including the cloud paper and all 4 layers of clouds.
The stitched cloud dies created a wonderfully fluffy night sky. To frame Benji, I added clouds above and below him with the sentiment on the bottom cloud. Since it is a night sky, I added some star sprinkles around the sentiment.
To add sparkle to the moon and stars, I used Clear Wink of Stella on them.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my Rebel Christmas Card usingRebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls for my Design Team Inspiration Card. It is never too early to start your Christmas cards and anyone who knows me, knows I love this little cutie patootie!
The Details of My Card
My Rebel Baby was already coloured from when I practiced for my presentation at the Wizards and Rebels Weekend for Paper Nest Dolls back in August (here is a link to that card). He has been sitting on my desk waiting to be put on a card and I thought a Christmas card would be fun!
For my card, I found the cutest digital Christmas paper with him on it in a buffalo check pattern! I wanted the image in the top left corner where he is in his pram peeking through on my card. So, I designed my card around that image…though there was a lot of cute images of him all over the paper! Lol!
I used several Christmas papers that matched my red and black theme. In fact, the stitched circle behind him was digital paper from the Weekend. I thought it would tie in the Star Wars genre.
Don’t you just love his Santa hat at a jaunty angle! It’s a retired Stampin’ Up! punch, but I’m sure there are lots of dies out there that would work just as well!
“A Merry Christmas I Wish You!” Of course, I had to have a Yoda-ish type sentiment which I typed on my computer and printed it out. Several handmade poinsettias and red rhinestones tie in the red Santa hat!

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Flowers For You Card as my Design Team Inspiration Card for Conie Fong Art & Design using theDragon Bouquet and Sentiment Bundle. This stamp is so versatile and can be used for so many occasions! It includes 6 images and comes in PNG or JPG:
Dragon Bouquet
Thinking Of You Sentiment
Have A Beautiful Day
Hello Friend
Just Because
Flowers For You Sentiment
The Details of My Card
For my card, I decided on the MME paper since I love the rustic wood texture and the collage on the paper! There is a sentiment on it under his feet, “start every day with a smile”. I thought this was such a sweet sentiment and would bring a smile to the recipient
From there, I picked out my Copic marker colours from the paper to colour my cute dragon and the bouquet. I also coloured some extra flowers that you get in the bundle in the colours I used for my bouquet. The sentiment from the bundle was die cut into a banner and layered with the coloured flowers and another banner below.
For embellishments, I used brass butterflies, clear epoxy dew drops and Clear Wink of Stella on the flowers.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing My Snowy Birthday Card as my Design Team Inspiration for Conie Fong Art & Design using Snowy With Present. The Details of My Card
This cutie can be used for so many things like Christmas, Valentine, Baby, Anniversary, Birthday, basically any kind of celebration! I have several winter birthdays and I decided that he would be perfect for one of my birthday cards.
I coloured him with my Copic markers to match my paper. The Doodlebug Paper was perfect for my wintery theme, and it had the cutest penguins on it! To add to my wintery theme, I embossed some white card stock with snowflakes and added a snowflake wreath to frame my focal point. A couple of rhinestones tied in the colour scheme and added sparkle.

Hello Crafty Friends! Laurie here again! I am sharing My Great Escape Card using the Counting Sheep Stamp Set and matching Sheep Dies by Stampin’ Up! You can get both for free with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration. I am a big fan of Shaun the Sheep and love watching all the antic that he gets up to with the other sheep at the farm! The ewe on the right reminds me of him as she orchestrates a breakout from the farmer’s field. Lol!
My Colouring Techniques
For my card, I used several techniques to colour my sheep so that they looked fluffy. I stamped the sheep in Smokey Slate Classic Ink on Basic White card stock. This allowed me to colour with the no-line technique which created a softer finished image without the harsh black lines with Memento Ink. Once the colouring was finished, the lines would fade in with the dots.
The second techniques I used was dots for their wool. I used the Dark Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend in the shadows. So, along the edges where the stamped Smokey Slate ink was, where the artist indicated fluffiness in the wool and anywhere I thought a shadow would show up.
Next, I used the Light Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend to add to the shadow areas and extend my dots further into the image from the shadows. I added a few random dots to break up the white areas in the centre of the wool.
Finally, I used my Stampin’ Blends Color Lifter and lightly brushed over all the dots to soften them a little bit. For the face and legs, I used the Smooth colouring technique. For more information on these techniques and others, I have included links on how to use your Stampin’ Blends at the end of this post.
The Details of my Card
I decided that I needed a slimline card to fit my scene so that I could include all three sheep in the great escape. Since the Basic Border Dies that I used were not long enough for a slimline card, I had to create layers to fill my scene. With lots of dimensionals, I was able to create a hilly pastureland with a cloud filled sky. For my pastureland I used two different card stocks, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive, to add dimension to my scene. I added an 8 ½” strip of Old Olive at the base of my card on top of all the hills to hide all the uneven pieces. The In Good Taste DSP was perfect for my wooden fences.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I was honoured to have been asked to present this card and my colouring for it at the Rebels and Wizards Online Event for Paper Nest Dolls that was this past weekend. My Mandalorian Card is using Rebel Hero and the new release Rebel Baby by Paper Nest Dolls and the Magic Iris Dies by Lawn Fawn. I have included a PDF with step by step instructions on how to build the Magic Iris at the end of this post.
I just love Baby Yoda in the Mandalorian TV series. He is soooo cute! I even have a Baby Yoda stuffy that gets into all kinds of mischief. Lol! So, when I saw the new Rebel Baby digital stamp, I just had to make a card with him! My card was inspired by the last episode of season two where Luke comes to rescue Baby Yoda and his friends. I coloured Luke in dark clothes with a green light saver (or life saver as my Baby Yoda calls it! Lol!) as he appeared in this episode. The Rebel Baby is hidden behind the “door” and is revealed by the Magic Iris mechanism when the Jedi Hero opens it.
Don’t you just love the digital paper that I used with the Mandalorian helmets and the original Star Wars logo! They were perfect for my card and were free from HaleGrafix. I sponged some Black Soot to the edges of it to give my card a gritty feel. I couple of star embellishments was all this card needed to finish it off.

Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here! I am sharing my first Design Team Inspiration Card for June using the sweet digital stamp Angel Messenger by Conie Fong Art & Design. This is such a pretty image and can be used for so many occasions like Birthday, Sympathy, Get Well, Thinking of You and so on.
For my card, I had some leftover paper from the Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps 2021 Spring Mini Retreat Weekend that I really loved with soft pinks, greens and purples. So, I used that to pull out my colours for my Copic markers. Once I coloured her wings, I used Star Dust Stickles to make them sparkle. Of course, all Angels have radiant wings! I love this paper so much that I used it for all my dies cut pieces including the bird and branches. The paper pad even has beautiful tags. I couldn’t resist fussy cutting one out and adding it with a pretty bow. A perfect setting for my die cut bird! A scattering of rhinestones and sequins were the only embellishments that my card needed.
Hello Crafty Friends! It’s Laurie here with my Welcome to the World Card using the new Hanging Stars Digital Stamp by Rachelle Anne Miller Creative Studios that will be released on May 13th. There are 4 super cute stamps being released that day including Dinosaur Friends, Spaceship and Treasure Island!
Rachelle Anne Miller currently has a contest on her Instagram for you and a friend to win all the new digital releases on Release Day! Enter it here:
For my card, I decided that I wanted to use the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper that I had in my stash. Since I knew that Stampin’ Up! has alcohol markers to match the soft colours in the DSP, I used my Stampin’ Up! Blends in those colours. I love how it turned out! Perfect for a new born baby boy that was born recently by a carding friend!
I used a lot of sparkle with the Wink of Stella on the stars and Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen on their tummies. I also used my White Gelly Roll Pen to add some “sparkle” here and there. The photo doesn’t do all the sparkle justice. So, I created a little video showing it.
